Yeah Phoenix will want more, but if we do this at the deadline, no one can offer them an expiring contract and a player who will probably be playing well who can be re-signed more cheaply next season.

Its not about Boozer being a better player, its about him being a better fit IMO.

I'm not saying he wouldn't fit, I'm saying he isn't the right fit. We are more in need of a low post player, and Marion really isn't that. Not that he doesn't crash the boards, but he plays on the perimeter alot, and we already have guys who do that.

there are so many reasons why that would never happen...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

We'd have to give up Ariza and SA's 2006 #1 or maybe Nate or something to make the deal reasonable. But I'd rather just get Marion in a 2 way trade.

There are several other options as well if we can put together a package for Marion.


1. We could put together a package for Marion + a resigned Steven Hunter.

2. 3-way Sign and trade for Eddy Curry.

3. 3-way sign and trade with Portland for SAR and Darius miles.

4. 3-way sign and trade with Portland for SAR and Joel Pryzbilla.

5. 3-way trade for Rasheed Wallace

6. 3-way for Ron Artest and Scott Pollard or Jonathan Bender

7. 3-way for Pau Gasol-Nah Pau is younger and cheaper they wont do it.

8. 3-way for Dan Gadzuric and Joe Smith.

9. 3-way with orlando for Tony Battie, Doug Christi(expriring too) and a couple of picks.


Guys you have got to like one of them. And they all work numbers wise, there would of course have to be other considerations.

NO, and I don't think they get that much for him anyway. I'd jsut get SAR if they wanted that much. What I posted earlier about 3 team deals is more along the mines of what I would want, and for some of those trades, yes i would be willing to give up alot.

It was suggested that if Phoenix matched JJ's contract with the Hawks, they would have too many max contracts, therefore trading Marion and his long contract for an expiring contract like TT's made sense. Its definitely not about talent here...

I can survive with Sweetney, Mo T, JYD and Rose... in fact, take one or two, please! But what we really need, and have always needed, it a Legit Center, and since there aren't many of those until 07' draft, then we better deal with other problems. Like for example, do we really want Q as our starting SF? After we trade TT, who will start? Is Ariza ready for heavy minutes? Who will we be able to get for TT and maybe Penny? I think that if a TT for Marion was possible, it would really help us..

Right, lets get some PFs! Now that Frye is apparently a PF, even though we drafted him because we needed to fill the need at C, lets get some more PF's.

Incredible. IT has changed his tune yet again. The man is a true snake.
First he gives all the bs about how Frye is a C and we need one, then when it becomes clear he can't play C after all, (great scoting IT), he is all of a sudden the second comine of Sheed.

This is what makes me mad about IT the most, he thinks he can fool the NY fans, thinks that we are dumb. Othewise I don't understand how he thinkgs he can get away with changing his story every 2 months.
