Successful Scenario
Due to New York and Indiana being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York and Indiana had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I would sweeten the pot by tossing a future #1 pick to get Artest and a legit 7'0 David Harrison ! So what do ya think ?
Isiah Thomas will lead us back to the playoffs in 2006 !!!

Why would Indy do it you ask ? Well Artest has been a major headach for them and with Miller they need another guard on their squad. Now you let Sweets play along side O'neal and you have a nice power package on both blocks !

C = O'neal
PF = Sweets
SF = Bender
SG = Jackson
PG = Crawford

And a future #1 pick to make Bird & Donnie happy !

like martin said, Artest is going to a west coast team.

Indy has had it with the guy. He is really good and can probably be the best SF in the game after KG but he just cannot keep his head above water. I am sure they are tired of depending on him. They drafted Granger to prepare against a Artest less season. They getting ready to trade him but they wouldnt make the mistake of trading him to an Eastern team. Also a big problem is: Isiah and Bird dont get along so Indy will not trade with NY.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

H20's getting waived, potna.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Artest's not getting traded.

Any player can get traded. Artest just ISN'T.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I would do that in a HEARTBEAT we would turn into a instant eastern conf powerhouse and legit threat with the right coaching and legitly a rasheed caliber big man away from a title... I don't think indy would do it but it aint that far fetched
