I don't know, the Sl I saw, he was roaming the court effortlessly.

It's like it's beneath him.

He's ready to start.

Your signature is getting the best of you right now. I am not so sure he needs 30 minutes a game. It was summer league, and his stats certainly weren't looking like the SL was beneath him.

well, he's not a star - far from it. BUT he should get 30 mins b/c he's one of those players that seems to make a serious impact the more minutes he gets.

remember last season, he got a couple of starts, and really flourished, contributing in MULTIPLE categories.

30 mins from ariza could easily yield these #'s:

10 pts, 5 rebs, 3 assists, and 1-2 steal.

he's not foul prone and he fits in well with marbury and craw. doesn't really need plays run for him to make an impact. i think he's ready to give us that.

He isn't a star yet but when he comes up with a good consistent outside shot he will be. He should see significant playing time because the more he plays the better he gets. You need a rotation of about 8-10 players. the knicks have about 12-13.

Ariza has ability and mental toughness. I see him blossoming into a lower level star, with perhaps a couple of stellar years.

He's young, athletic, and tough. I thought his shot was coming along last year. In the SL this year I saw him break his man down off the dribble acouple of times. If he can do that consistently, works on his shot relentlessly, he is on his way to McGrady-land!

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

yeah, the games I watched, he was great and pretty much just missing on some jumpers...TT starts teh season, but Ariza is nearly ready to be Dominique Wilkins (spelling?)

I'll take that while Marbs gobbles up the publicity.

The games I didn't watch, we have write ups and they seem to agree as well...Also...it sucks that Lee is playing so well..now we have a gazillion fafillion power forwards on the roster.

Summer, the time for fantasy thoughts of our team.......

Jackie Blue is the next shaq,

Frye is the guy......Sweets is as light as the cotten candy he so craves,
Mo T is Mo better, and KT is gone to the heavens!

Cerubs enlighten and seem to fly with wings (nate).......

Marbs sins are all forgiven, and Crawful is just golden.

Q erases all the pain of Allan, and our picks of the drafts unforseen, are as innocent as sands on the beaches of our youth.

Oh, the other side of summer.

and Reezy will soar.

Wait, we will a top the atlantic! Neptune has spoken!

He has impressive physical skills, but since it's far from certain his outside shot will ever significantly improve, the idea that he will be a star is extremely speculative.

Ariza compares relatively well with Josh Howard and even Tayshaun Prince so far. If he can develop into something like either of those guys, I'd be enthralled.

With 30mpg... 10ppg/5.5+rpg should be far-fetched. It's funny--- those are kind of like Tim Thomas numbers... but coming from Ariza, those'd be very solid #s.

Ariza just turned 20, I believe that MJ was 20 when he first came into the league and it took him several years to develope a consistent o/s shot. Let's give the kid a few years to develope the mid range jumper and then we will know what we have. I am not elevating or comparing Ariza to His Highness but he has the great physical ability to become a special player. To annoint him a"star" is bit premature but to hope for him to become a dominant player is not unreasonable.

I'm waiting to hear how he does in training camp. With TT in a contract year, Ariza won't be getting 30 mpg till TT is traded (hopefully @ the deadline after maximizing his trade value).
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
