Or just get nobody and baptize Frye in the fire, let him learn. We are a godawful lottery team, and teams as bas as us cannot afford not to start our lottry picks! Just start the damn guy, and damn the torpedos lol.

i love it. this can be taken two ways and satisfies all the contingent here on the board.

1. NOTHING meaning there's nothing isiah could've done that would've topped the james signing for 5 years.

OR

2. NOTHING as in doing absolutely nothing would've been better than james for 5 years.

two DIFFERENT meanings.

i, of course, fall into category 2 of nothingness.

it's not about james here next season, or the following season (where we won't win a title anyway) BUT james in years 3-5 will be the telling tale...

You never buy out Centers, even if they're hacks. Boston won't buy out Mark Blount simply b/c size is size.

If James doesn't work out well by the end of year 2, the team will probably buy out his contract. They spent more money to buy out Shandon.

you're not suggesting that's an acceptable alternative in case he doesn't work out i hope...buying out a player w/3 years & $18 million or so left on his contract is NOT wise business practice just because this team decided to do so w/Shandon's contract...it's that exact type of complete disregard for future cap ramifications of ill-advised contract signings that have led this team into it's salary cap hell to begin with...at some point, there comes a time to be fiscally responsible & actually make moves that don't add to the problem we're trying to dig out of.

Proof positive that you don't have a clue. If Pachulia could be had for the LLE, he would be a knick. Its not going to happen for such little money Milwaukee will match.. Plus factor in the fact that Atlanta is looking at him and are willing to overpay him.
