Welcome to Scott Layden comparisons, Isiah Thomas.

The New York Knicks have agreed to a five-year, $29 million deal with Mr. Playoffs, Jerome James
Did we mention, "Wow" yet? James better find a way to average at least 10 boards and 2 blocks per game or he'll find himself pulling weekly Randy Johnsons on the New York press.

We gotta hear what Philly fans think about the rumor that Samuel Dalembert verbally agreed on a $70M to $75M deal to stick with Philly.

Huge props to the Spurs.

Those guys are just smart.

The Spurs have reportedly come to an agreement in principle with Argentinean center Fabrico Oberto.

Oberto can play. He is skilled, can rebound, and has played against tough competition. He'll help immediately (because the champs will need so much help.)

Juan Dixon is being courted by the Heat. That seems like a great fit to us.

The Celtics are running all over the summer league and people are taking notice. The C's have a stacked roster with Al Jefferson, Tony Allen, Justin Reed, Kendrick Perkins, Delonte West, Ryan Gomes and Gerald Green.

Boston worked the Warriors last night and had people talking after two absurd 4th quarter dunks by Allen, and two more nasty crams by Green. We've caught some of the games, and Green is legit.

A lot of NBA GMs are going to have some explaining to do. So far, the C's young players and the Blazers' young players have been the talk of the summer league.

Speaking of the Blazers, they beat up the Wizards summer league squad. Sebastian Telfair, who's played very well this summer, had himself a night — 27 points, 8 dimes, 0 turnovers.

What round does Telfair get taken in fantasy league drafts this season?

Darko's still tough to watch. He's just not ready.

Matt Walsh has reportedly agreed to a two-year deal with the Heat.

We¹ve been talking about the Caron for Kwame rumor for a while, and as it turns out it was on the money. The Lakers are sending Caron and Chucky Atkins to the Wizards for Kwame Brown.

Kwame's going to get every chance to play a legit role with the Lakers this season.

Raise your hand if your're sick of the Larry Brown saga?

Joe Dumars, owner Bill Davidson, Larry Brown and Brown's agent met again yesterday and still no announcement.

What could they possibly still be talking about?

League MVP Steve Nash was spotted balling in a pick-up game in Hudson River Park in NYC.

The next day Kid Canada partied with Owen Wilson at the premier of his new movie, Wedding Crashers.

We're out like the GMs who passed on Green.

all kool aid all the time.

JJ is awesome... its hard to argue with the impact his career 17 minutes and 5 points/4 rebounds a game will bring. Clearly a bright day in Knick history.

fish, you're supposed to PRORATE it to 48 minutes if you want to see what his REAL stats are.

if you do that, he's somewhere around 15 points 12 rebounds 5 blocks....and, ummm, 11 fouls

at the end of the day, we're paying for a 15-20 minute player. but the one positive is that he does have girth and size and for the time he's on the floor, we may be able to play better defense. if he's on the floor for 30 mins, this signing is a COUP. chances of that though, are like the bizarro jj - slim.

Dolan forced Isiah to hire Herb....There is no other reason why Zeke will go with Herb is Larry does return to Detroit....Dolan is a loyal guy, typical newyorker. That is why the Knicks will never win a championship until Dolan is gone....In business you have to make decisions that will not please everyone. Dolan is too loyal for an owner,,,,Houston, Herb, and plenty others....that is crazy..

If he can do that at 7'1", he'll be worth $60 mil, not $29 mil.
Welcome to Scott Layden comparisons, Isiah Thomas.
The MAJORITY of the players on the team are 19 to 25 years young, talented, and have upside. I don't think Layden ever had 3 players you could say that about on the team.

Eh, this thread stinks...so I'm just going to use it to say something that's been on my mind for a while:

When you quote someone....You're supposed to add your comment after whatever is it that you're quoting. It just makes so much more sense.

Thank you.

Your point?
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System
