So tonight against Minnesota, a team that blew out Milwaukee and kept Bogut to 7 pts:

Channing Frye had 16 pts, 5 reb, including a vicious fast break slam over one of the larger Wolves (Ndubi Ebi?) and some nice turn around moves in the high post.

David Lee had 13 pts, 6 reb - ran the fast break well.

Nate Robinson had 13 pts, 5 reb - including an insane putback, two-handed dunk over three taller players. this dunk is INSANE. please watch MSG Sportsdesk immediately to see this.

I don't think they gave a score, but the Knicks won and were up 30-11 at one point. This Twolves team just blew out Milwaukee like 100-67 yesterday. I'm not sure if McCants was playing.

I knew that first game was an abberation, although he just didnt see the ball. He's really good on the low block and he's an outstanding rebounder, I expect him to be an impact player right away.

I tell you who has been the best player in SL so far--Hakim warrick-hes been unstoppable in every game shooting in the 60+% and avg 23 points 9 reb--you called that one pretty good so far

Im a proponenet of giving Frye 30-35 minutes and also force feeding him the ball. I dont like hearing this stuff about walker, id rather let Frye play 4-5 for 30+ and if he has to take lumps so be it, but I want to give him the chance to really be successful. Having him sit behind guys is not the way to do it. We won 30 something games and we had pick 8, he should play 30+ minutes.

He was probably guarded by a 6'4 center tonight.... I am not a fan of that guy's game...

Just watched Sportsdesk....

Nate Robinson threw down one of the most vicious, one-handed, put-back stuffs I've ever seen. He ROSE up over everyone else. It was NASTY. The expression on his face said it all - "COME GET SOME!"

From the clip, Frye looked more athletic than he did in Vegas. Made a quick post move, and then pushed back for a fadeaway jumper. I thought it was a guard, until I realized it was him. Nice to see. I think he'll be fine, but I still don't think he's ready for significant minutes. Maybe at PF...

Lee really reminds me of Croshere...right down to the skin color. He's a SF/PF who's thrown in there for hustle plays and rebounding. Granted, Croshere's the better shooter, but Lee is quicker and probably stronger, plays better D.

The Minnesota Summer League will be more telling of just how good our rookies are b/c the competition steps up a few notches. I look forward to see how Frye responds to the challenge...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

yeah, I'm sure Bogut will be fine.

and as for Warrick, believe me, it kills me when I think about the fact that if Memphis kept their promise to Julius Hodge, Warrick might have slipped past Denver and into our laps at 21. ah well. I think we all wish the draft went slightly different, but so far, what we have looks pretty good.

I think it's fine that Channing isn't putting up huge scoring numbers. this team is playing as a team, sharing the ball. There's 4 or 5 NBA qualiber players on our roster, I don't expect one guy to dominate the ball and score 20+ pts. Nate did that for a while, but he's become even more of a distributor now.

yeah, that Nate putback dunk was SICK. too bad they called it an offensive foul.

Guys. Channing only played 17 Minutes. That's pretty impressive considering his stat line.

Thanks. yeah, 16 points in 17 minutes is a good game. And four assists for David Lee. I wonder if he really has some sort of future at SF. That'd be nice, given our PF glut. He needs an outside shot to do that, though.

and Nate got T-ed up! in Summer league! I like this kid.

And guess where did Frye started? Yeah, at PF! I think Isiah, after what he has seen, wants to play Frye at PF and trade now for another C that can log significant minutes. Sweetney should be avaliable by now in any of those trades...

A big question here: why is Sundov still with the Knicks?? I can't believe we are wasting time with him. He got 19 minutes and Butler only 9?

What would be ideal is if we could deal for a starting PF that can play Center as well. We'd have a Center rotation of that player, James, along with Rose and maybe spot minutes for Frye...

Spot minutes? Are you kidding me? 16pts in 17min doesn't impress you?

Listen, I know some people are in denial about the draft and all, but let me help: there won't be anymore trades this summer, Frye is going to start, Herb is going to be the coach. Okay? Thx.

If Herb is the coach, then it doesnt really matter who is on the team, with such a pathetic coach we are going staright back to the lottery. I really hope you are wrong man.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
