Tskitishvili Plans To Stay In NBA
Rocky Mountain News - 07/14 - 1:20 PM EST

Former Nuggets forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili, who also was in Las Vegas on Wednesday, said six NBA teams he wouldn't name are considering him as a free agent.

"I'm going to play in the NBA (next season instead of Europe)," Tskitishvili said. "I don't care about money."

He finished the 2005 season with the Warriors, where he was used as frequently as he was in Denver

isiah should take a risk here b/c he's big and has skills. low risk, HIGH reward possibility. and the more tall athletic players the better, especially as throw-in's in trades.

Can he be on NBDL roster, or does he have too many years in the league?

Why not? I'd give him a chance at a low salary like the LLE. Worst thing that happens is he gets cut.

He is not NBDL eligible though. I think he recently completed his 3rd year in the league.

This would be a great idea. He'd be like acquiring another draft pick. I like it alot.

it would be a VERY good move for isiah to make - definitely a good one PR wise, like picking up dermarr and butler the previous seasons.

we need to dump malik, mo, and jyd as fast as possible. these guys are just eating up roster spots...

As I said above, I think it would be a good move. But just to move the discussion further, what exactly is Skita's deal? He's gotten progressively less minutes each year (mostly due to Denver's rise, but he also got less minutes in GS). He's only got a .301 career shooting percentage in 155 games. Could it be that he's just brutally awful?

Regardless, 1.5 mil (or however much the LLE is now) for a young 7 footer with some athleticism is a low risk, high reward situation.

Not so fast. I think Isiah has another move in store and those guys may become useful either aspart of the trades or as backups. And I like JYD, I am in no rush to get rid of him.

If we can do it, we should do it. Make these guys compete for roster spots!

skita is odd, when you see the guy, he can do a lot of things and he has size and is a very good athlete, just as good as dirk if you ask me. For some reason he just can't put it all together, but if we can get him for the LLE then why not? I just wonder if we do that, will we have any money to use on ariza or does the new CBA take care of that?

a little off topic, but I had a bad dream the other night in which we traded Nate for Skita

I woke up and I checked the forums just to make sure nothing happened, lol.

The new CBA allows teams like the Knicks who are over the cap to resign their 2nd round draft picks.

I love the idea of signing Skita, for the same exact reasons that everyone else has said. He is a lottery talent that just cant seem to get it all together and he would be like acquiring another draft pick for a very small amount of money. lowrisk-highreward.

It's interesting. my friend in Denver who watched him for 3 years said that he always looked lost on the court. he never synched with the team. HE looked like he was practicing his own skill sets when he got game time; never sensed that he needed to fit his actions in with the team's.

interestingly, this same guy says he notices the same phenomenon when Darkos' in a game. Though i'd say that's ususally garbage time so it's harder to have a team approach anyway.
