Hell no!

Lee will be his own player. Oak Man he is not. Oakley could defend and intimidate his opponents. Players would be scared to play against Oakley. Right now there is no one intimatidated of Lee. Oakley also had an outstanding midrange jumper. Lee has hops and can drive. Oakley would be lucky to clap boards. Oakley also was one of the best players when it can to taking charges and setting picks.

I can see David Lee Bitch Slapping Tyrone Hill for owing him 50k in the middle of warm ups, and David Lee checking out his car washes on the off season. Yeah. Huggy bear Lee!

Not to mention the time Barkley slapped him during an inbounds and Oakley almost tore his head off! Only time I ever saw Barkley look scared. Like Artest looked when Ben wanted his ass.

Lee overall will be more talented than Oakley.. Can dribble and score with both hands, a tremendous leaper, ferocious rebounder and runs well on the fast break..

Oakley was more of a physical, fearful type player that hustles every minute of a game. Had a decent mid-range jumpshot. Played with alot of heart and never gave up on a defensive play..

Nalod, don't tell me how you know Lee is circumcised and Oakley isn't.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

BURN!
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Nope, not Anthony Mason.. Mason wasn't a tremendous leaper and wasn't really known for running on a fast break.. Predominately a physical half court player who would punish you on the defensive end..

Anthony Mason was one of the better Point Forwards of the 90's. He thrived in the open court for a guy of his stature.

Lee is unique and i'm not sure he fits into any of the previous Knicks molds. He will be a good player tho. I think i'd prefer him to some of the PF's we have now. He's got the right mental make up. He's only going to get better and already his physical skills are NBA ready. I love his quickness and aggressiveness. I love the way he snatches rebounds and turns and heads up court. He's just a solid player that is perfect for the current style of Ball. Oak would have trouble with the refs now. Lee will be just fine and draw a lot of fouls.
