After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Briggs just doesn't seem to grasp that you can't mix and match 2 different scenarios...

can't make the playoffs and semi-rebuild at the same time guys.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

When NBA2k6 comes out someone will have to simulate BRIGGS' Knicks agains IT's Knicks in a 7 game series...
And the reply is...a post that makes sense (still waiting)

I like some of BRIGGS opinions, but I would not like him to be our GM, because then we would have the most athletic team in the league...but with no post moves and with no three pointers.

Though he tends to be repetetive, I pretty much agree with his thinking on how to build a team. I like the fact that he is a great talent spotter. I almost always like the same players he mentions here, and have been impressed with his eyes on the college/HS prospects. I also agree that we should have drafted Bynum, traded for Kwame, and tried to sign Basden. I like the fact that he thinks defense, athleticism & size as the key to establishing a winning team. He could be a pain-in-the-ass GM to deal with, but I think he'd be consistent and would stick to his plan without doing a half-assed job.

As for Isiah, I pretty much don't like all the moves he's made so far except for drafts.

If I need to pick a GM from this board, I'm going with VDesai. I like Briggs' overall thrust but methinks his flights of fancy and obsessions could get a franchise in trouble.

11 to 4. I bet I can guess the 4 who voted for Briggs! Strange, but interesting poll!

I also wanted to vote for myself. Then I will hire the following

BRIGGS-Lead scout
VDesai-Scout
djsunyc-Scout
DarkKnicks-Intl Scout
Nalod-Public Relations
HARDCOREKNICKS-Head of Player Development
diderotn-Assistant to the Assistant Strength and Conditioning apprentice

You'll need to hire some fans then too.

My first move would be to reassign Dido to "chancelor of the misistry of propoganda distribution".

Does that position include forecasting?

I voted for Isaiah, but if every team had to replace their gm with a 'civilian', I'd nominate Briggs.
