oh I forgot him. but it's a 14 man active roster, so slot him in as the last PF on the depth chart.

I mean, this is awful. This team has good young players but too many crappy old ones hanging around, led by Jerome. This is Dolan's edict. We can't ever rebuild, we have to add youth but stay competitive.

Competitive? This team wins 38 games.

If we got Kwame and he and Frye started every game, I'd be thrilled to win 38 games. But now, with James starting and no hope of Kwame, I mean, this team's ceiling is first round loss.

38 wins max. Rather than build something special, they choose to make a playoff run with THIS GUY? Are you F ing kidding me?!?!?!?!?

This is the first Zeke move I really don't get. Maybe this team wins 42 games and a 7 seed, but what's the point? By getting a guy like James you lower the ceiling of the entire team. You turn down Q for Kwame and blow the MLE on this loser?

isaih is right.. now we develop our young players. i wouldnt want any other veterans in the way of developing them.

yes, but bringing in James also means that Isiah is done and that this extremely uneven roster that doesn't have one starting PF on it is what we're going to battle with in November. Jerome James is our starting C? Nice front court, Zeke.

i dont see whats so wrong with rotating James, Frye at center. Then rotating Sweetney, Frye, Lee, Rose, <coTIuMghMY> at PF.

Did you guys expect Frye to play 30+ minutes this season?

We have 96 minutes at 2 positions to divide among:

Frye
JJ
Sweets
Rose
JYD
Taylor
David Lee?

I doubt any of the above will play more then 24 minutes per game.

JJ might have been a bit expensive but at least we know have a true C and a borderline C.

Personally I think anyone who thinks we could go a season with Frye/Sweets/Rose at C is on crack.

And if you think Nate Robinson is gonna play more than 16 minutes a game your on crack also.

Why is this Dolan?

There is always a lot of comments about Dolan interfering with GMS and forcing them to rebuild a certain way. But is there any evidence of this? Couldn't it just be the GMs choice?

A.) Kwame is a Laker now...no more Kwame talk, like I said a few days ago.

B.) You guys are baffoons if you think Isiah is pleaseed with the roster as it is. This team wouldn't win more than 40 games next season, and would still be 2nd or 3rd in the Atlantic. If not this summer, Isiah will still be patient and pull off another trade to bring in a legit PF/C before the trading deadline.

Why would he bring in a 29 y/o Center unless we were making a playoff push. There's not gonna be a rotation of our young players for the most part. Zeke'll find a way to bring in a better, more experienced, proven PF, whether that's Walker or someone else, so that we're ready to contend. I also believe he's doing this all in the expectation of Larry Brown being available. Since he spent the last couple years trying a "win-now" model, he wasn't about to ditch all that unless push came to show and he had no other choice. With James on board, Isiah will be able to make one last push in the right direction. After that......who knows.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
