He was bought from the Sonics for cash. This is a guy I thought could start for us this year, I wanted him with our second rounder. A few others gave this guy props as well (rojas, vdesai). To check up on him, I went to the Grizzlies Site to browse the boxes. Look what I found.. gasp!

The guy has heart, desire, post move, bad luck (on the baylor team torn apart by Denehy murder), and under-rated athleticism.. at least not to Jerry West. We'll see if he pans out, but I had some conviction on this guy. Could be the steal of draft.. for cash.

I wonder why we didn't acquire a 2nd round pick for cash myself. Atleast to acquire the likes of a Taft or Blatche (although the Knicks were down on him for his attitude).

Yeah I like him. He's just a tough PF who gets the job done. Those are great numbers. He was constantly underrated b/c he played a lot of center, is a little undersized (6'8"-6'9") and wasn't considered to be that athletic. All those knocks were kind of reaching though...he always looked like a PF and seemed to have enough size for the position.
