No one's talking about much about him (I know, too many bad memories).

I hate this guy as much as most on this board, but I still feel like he's going to have a decent first half (stat-wise) and make himself into a valuable trading deadline chip. He obviously is soft, which imo partly explains why he got distracted from his job last year. Not saying he's going to round into all-star form and suddenly realize the potential everyone says he has, but I think he'll shoot at a higher % than last year and not be such an obvious detriment to the team when he's on the court.

hopefully he'll be decent in limited minutes. who ever the coach is will problably give Q, Lee & Ariza more burn because of defense and better team play. I'm still hoping TT is traded before the season

I expect nothing. Because that's the only way you can watch Tim Thomas and not be dissapointed.

trade TT now, get him out of the way and then trade Penny by the deadline in a Mashburn type trade

I think he'll definitely be better than last season, probably closer to or exceeding his career per-minute averages in scoring and boarding. Contract years are the time when guys like TT come to play for real.

That said, it's impossible for TT to disappoint me this season, because I have no expectations whatsoever. He's just an expiring contract on this team, and whatever he can give us stats-wise in the meantime is gravy.

I think he'll be good this season. He'll play like he did after the all-star break.

I don't expect much but think that he could play decent. He has to be more focused than last season and he should come into the season more prepared mentally and physically. If he can play team ball and be aggressive, he could surprise us all.

I'm against trading him just for the sake of making a roster spot. Under the new CBA, we can have 15 players on the active roster. Keep him whether he contributes or not. If he plays well, great, his value goes up so let's see what he could fetch by the deadline. If he sucks, let his contract expire. No need to trade him (or Penny) if it doesn't improve the team (makes us younger, net us a legit talent, or 1st round picks).

he was good last season in the 2nd half against poor defensive teams. He disappeared when we faced Miami and the Sonics twice late in the season in the middle of a playoff run which put an end to the season. he has no basketball IQ, turns the ball over when he drives to drive more than half the time, doesn't rebound and plays no defense.

If TT goes to bench I think he will have a stellar season and will look good around the trade deadline. He is more effective in limited minutes late in games. I think Ariza should be the starter especially if Q is playing at the 2. With most of the Knick points coming from our guards in Starbury, Nate, Craw, and Q I think I forwards will need to rebound more and play good to great defense. If you look at the team now. Our defensive prowless is with our forwards to score unless it is deep in the post with the likes of Sweetney, Butler and Mo.

YOu know what pisses me off? He has the physical attributes and
skill to be able to step in start at the four for this team.
But he won't, cuz he's stupid and soft, and has NO character.
Also, no balls to grab rebounds.
