It's interesting what is implied at this point of the article:

"If the Knicks can do a sign-and-trade with Boston, they can use part of their mid-level exception to add Suns center Steven Hunter, a young, athletic shotblocker who can be had for less than $3M per. Bartlestein also represents Hunter. Did someone say package deal?"

Hmmmmm

Please no. Isiah seems determined to ruin an otherwise fruitful summer if all this garbage about Walker is true. Now they're saying a S+T involving Sweets for Antoine. Damned if that's not exactly the last thing this team needs.

Having to take Vin Baker b/c of Crawford sucked, but having to take Walker b/c of Steven Hunter or vice versa will suck even more. If they are a package, I say forget both.

This may not be very popular but I'm not totally against this move. It would really depend on who's involved in the trade and will there be picks included in any way. I'm the first to say that I hate Antoine's game, I hate his defense....hell I even hate his face! But at the end of the day we are starving for good post play. Would he bring that? After all this would be the biggest stage he has every played on and maybe he'll play in the post more and pick up his D. But then again.....maybe not.

Maybe Walker will play in the post and fit seemlessly and selflessly into the team offense, instead of chucking an inordinate amount of 3s at a bad percentage while otherwise dribbling the ball all the time. And maybe Tim Thomas will win defensive player of the year also.

Just Say No.

exactly. Walker is not a post player. there's a reason boston wants him gone yet again. at 30+ He isn't getting any better. we would be the worst fit for walker. you can get by with one chucker. we have 3

he can be a post player, hes acutally really good in the post. he just chooses not to play that way, but when he does, hes very effective. but, with that said, in no way would i ever want walker on the knicks. all those times walker and pierce would laughed at the knicks teams in our most recent year, F'em.

Walker's first few years in the league he was close to my favorite player.

He was so jukey in the post, he was killer. Looked like Cornbread Maxell down there.

He boarded. he passed. He handled the ball well. He got out and ran.

Then under O'Briens's tutelage he turned into a 3-point chucker. Rreally screwed himself up.

I don't know if he has the desire to go back under the boards and put his tricks to work. I don't trust him a lick anymore, but the guy still has so much more talent than he lets show. That's Boston's problem and I don't want it to be ours. If I had to look at Walker and TT on the same team I'd develop a major digestive disorder.

Yeah, Walker was a force down low in the beginning, but he is not welcome here.

If Isiah makes him a Knick, that would be the biggest shock & disappointment for me - like when I met a gorgeous girl in Philippines only to find out later while dancing sexy with her that she was a he (TRUE STORY).

This move would go against what I think Isiah is trying to do with youth movement/rebuilding. If I could, I'd veto this move.

What about a TT and Sweetney trade for Walker and Hunter....???? No one on this board actually want TT or Penny back, why not get rid of one of those bad expiring contracts for guys that we really can use? A good coach can restrict Walker from taking bad shots...Penny's contract is currently useless. Trading it would do the Knicks a lot of goods....

Walker's a very good player who's carried teams deep in the playoffs. For a low price, I'd gladly take him. Larry Brown would be the perfect coach to discipline him.

I'd be happy to have Antoine, but only at $5.2m!

Sweetney is a better fit on this team- a player who plays underneath- our only real inside presence that might actually get better.

He's young, he's cheap and he's tradable.

The minute Walker is signed to whatever size contract he gets, he becomes untradable.

Maybe isiah is hoping to loose out on walker, and then his agent feels good and has hunter come to NYC!

If we get Antoine Walker I'll be sick. Two steps forward and one major step back. Is he young, long or athletic? NO! He's another ball hog. Ugh. "hellbent on getting Walker"...I almost puked.

We need to either do a sign and trade for Swift using Penny's expiring contract. Or...freaking trade Q for Kwame. Sorry, though I like Q and his post game, I'd rather have Kwame's on this team.

Swift, Kwame or Bust for me.

Walker, Hunter, James, none of them would make me happy unfortunately.

Praying for Sacramento to get Walker and the Nets to get Rahim ASAP. Then maybe Isiah will be hellbent on bring Swift or Brown here.

The agent wouldn't specify which players have been discussed and said "nothing's imminent." Yet each team's off-season philosophy suggests a deal is doable if Thomas also fulfills his desire for another big man by taking the sizeable contract of either Mark Blount (five years left at $33.7 million) or Raef LaFrentz (four, $45.4 million) off his division rival's payroll.

Give us Al Jefferson and I'll gladly take Raef or Mark off their payroll!
