we should see if we can bargain Sweetney to the Nets for that 2006 Clipper unrestricted # 1 pick. That could end up being a very , very valuable chip at the trading deadline or just to keep because the Clippers are shaping up to be really bad again. I mean if we arent good, we could walk away with a Josh Mcroberts and Rudy Gay in the first round and a Hilton Armstrong with our 2. That would give us 3 6-10 players and a potential star in Rudy gay. Rebuilding is more than a 1 year process.

don't ever use the words

"we"
"get"
and "walker"

in the same sentence EVER again.

moving sweetney for a #1 NEXT season would not be a good move imho. what if gay doesn't come out? it's too much of a crapshoot for a weak draft.

If Isiah moves Sweetney before this year to all places as the Nets, i'll be going over to the other side right along with him.

I mean there's gotta be an UltimateNets.com out there somewhere

Anyway, as i've said before Sweetney's gonna be at or close to an Allstar player this year. I'm surmising that the mans doing the total body makeover as we speak. It will be a major mistake if Isiah had a momentary lapse of sanity and shipped Sweetney out.

I was talking about Mcroberts in here a few months ago. I really like this kid, in some ways reminds me a bit of david lee... good motor, very athletic, except Josh may shoot a little better..

I think if sweets is getting his fat ass in NBA shape this summer, Isiah knows about it. If hes not, he wont be playing anywhere near an all-star level (which I really don't see in his future in shape or not) and we need to ship him out for something valuable.

If Walker becomes a Knick.... I am going to join the "Fire Isiah" club. I don't want him, not even for the MLE, not even for the LLE. He sucks.

Getting Walker would be a good thing. Up tempo is something Isiah is trying to steer this team towards so Walker would fit right in. He would get the rebound and start a break....he can also trail and hit the three and finish at the basket.

I see him as a 3 anyway and he would bring everything that Tim Thomas can't. Right off the bat it makes alot of sense for the Knicks. Trevor Ariza is not ready.

I think Walker should be a priority.

One thing Walker gives us that we have been missing in the past few years is ENERGY. He has a passion for the game and everytime I've watched him he really gets after it. If the Knick's strength is going to be offense, which it will be, let's take it up a notch.
And the reply is...a post that makes sense (still waiting)

All of the articles insist that Walker will get more then the MLE. What exactly is the point of this post?

I was actually very surprised by the content of this initial post. I thought the text of the post, after reading the title by Briggs "If we do indeed get A Walker with our MLE," would be something like

(a) we're definitely not building for the long-term;
(b) Our team will win 30-34 games;
(c) we should have drafted Bynum, who would compliment Walker so much better than Frye does
IF we do indeed get A Walker with our MLE
