Z staying with Cavaliers

Free agent center Zydrunas Ilgauskas will remain with the Cavaliers. Ilgauskas intends to sign a five-year deal worth between $55 and $60 million on July 22, the first day free agents can sign. Ilgauskas, who averaged 16.9 points and 8.6 rebounds a game this past season, is the second free agent to agree to a deal with the Cavs. Washington Wizards guard Larry Hughes intends to sign a deal with the Cavs worth between $65 and $70 million dollars.

Lol. That's the funniest thing I've read on this board for a good while. It's true, too. It's not the per year, so much as the length, given his scarrry feet!

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

LMAO! That's classic
"This is a very cautious situation that we're in. You have to be conservative in terms of using your assets and using them wisely. We're building for the future." - Zeke (I guess not protecting a first round pick is being conservative)

I think the deal makes a lot of sense for Cleveland. They were not going to get a better C in free agency, which means the team would be damaged significantly if Big Z left. If that happens and Diop is their best center, the team's in the lottery again, Lebron is one step closer to leaving, and they lose $50 mil a year. One season with Lebron will probably pay off Z's entire contract.
