he's playing lights out at the SL, he played lights out at the pre-draft camp, he was the number 1 perimeter defender in the nCAA, hes physical, he can score rebound--hes the kind of guy that helps teams win. i dont know how he didnt get drafted i was interested in him as one potential candidate for pick 30 and most defintely at 54. We dont have 1 really good perimeter defender on the hwole team other than Ariza, this guy can lock down 2-3. You win with defense and rebounding, you need defenders. Id rather trade Q for a big man and sign Badsen. We have Crawford Starbury and Nate who can shoot, we need someone who can defend. We can score enough pouints to win, but unfortuately this guy doesnt understand that defense and rebounding wins titles. That is why Pheonix dumped him for KT and signed Raja bell, because they *REALIZED* they had to change some things for them to go over the top. Q is a big G, but he is in the class of POROUS defenders in this league. We really do not need Q, we needed Craw to gain a little weight and strength, we needed a guy who can play like Bruce Bowen, but this guy can also score.

i was kinda hoping that since its obvious we need defense, that Isiah would've signed Badsen to the roster to begin with. He's problably not young and athletic enough to be on Isiah's radar and will we have the roster space? I don't think its possible for anyone other than ariza, frye, lee & butler to make the team. I've been pleading for the Knicks to sign Bowen. If we can get badsen it would be a lot cheaper and realistic

he would be the second or third most athletic player on the team behind only Nate and possibly Ariza. Hes 22, I dont think he is to old. There are 13 roster spots and you can put rookies in the NBDL-its all about locking a guy up that can really play. Im interested in obtaining a very serious defender at ANY position except PG, in fact it should be a priority. he is a FA playing on the Bulls SL team. He can do anything he wants--he can choose any team to play for that wants him. Im sure $$$$ talks.

the only way we can sign him is by dipping into the LLE or MLE right? if thats the case we'll get outbidded by chicago or some other team

I was shocked that this guy didn't get drafted. His defensive tools are top notch and will keep him in the NBA over many of the guys that were taken instead. He's a case of scouts focusing on workout numbers and simulated situations rather than projecting someone on the basis of their game tapes, which is what you should do when you're trying to project an NBA defender.

Eddie Basden won't push the Knicks over the helm by any stretch of the imagination, but if he's playing that well now then he should be looked into for sure...

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
