Is this guy so sick of losing that he wants to take less money to play for a contender? He turned down a 5yr 47 million dollar contract with the bucks? I don't see many other teams offering him anything sunstantial. Does he still have a lot of value? He would be great for the Nets but they need to do a sign and trade for him to get him. How much are they willing to give up to get him? And i'm also shocked Bobby Simmons will get $9 mil per year! The guy is solid but I don't see how you wont regret giving that guy such a big contract.

Rahim can get 10 Mill. more with NJ. (trade exception)
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

New Jersey only has a 5.1 million MLE and a 4.9 million exception. They cannot combine them. They could combine the exception and another contract in a trade, but I don't know if Portland would do that. I'd surprised if Rahim gets more than Simmons got in the end.

Agreed that it's a lot of money for Bobby Simmons. Milwaukee will be good, but Chad Ford's idea that they are championship contenders is insane.

why, b/c youre a net fan in disguise or b/c you think the Nets will be even more menacing to face?

Rahim is consistent, but I wouldn't worry about him.

10 Mill (instead of a few Mill. less) in the last year of his contract, b/c the 5 Mill. would be parceled out. (I'm assuming)

I hate Rahim but if the Nets get him and stay relatively healthy they will be a good team. They still need a bruising PF though. Kristic, Rahim & Collins doesn't cut it defensively.

With or without Rahim they're going to be better than us as we continue re-tooling. it really doesn't matter. The Nets are not winning a championship anytime soon and thats all that matters to me as a Knick fan living NJ.

Right now for Chad Ford to say that is crazy, but if Milwaukee gets SAR, i don't know how crazy he will be then. They have a good chance for a run for the foreseeable future, SAR is the oldest big piece at 27 or 28. They'd have like a 3-5 year window, and if they make good fa signings, and draft well, they could be a powerhouse. Of course assuming Bogut becomes the dominating player he is expected to be.
