9 teams all together are after Toine...but Boston doesn't want to retain him. What in the world is going on? If he is that bad, why is he in such high demand????
Who said he is that bad? Is that your opinion? Toine has had an EXCELLENT NBA career: http://www.nba.com/playerfile/antoine_walker/?nav=page
I can't understand either. He is a chucker beyond the arc and in my eyes his post play sucks. But I think because now the free agents out there is so weak in regards to a named player it is the best thing out there.
Yes, he has earned a well deserved rep for chucking, but that was the Celtics' game plan at that time. Before the Celtics started running and gunning he lived in the post and was very good at it. Add 3 all-star games and I am mystified that anyone thinks he is not a very good player.
That is what I don't like about the NBA...Too many players that are capable are not getting fair value, but guys like: TT, Walker, and perhaps underachiever like Kwame will get a huge pay check for his potentials alone...
I don't know what you are talking about, comparing AW to TT. AW would have been the best forward on our team during ANY SEASON OF HIS CAREER, including last year.
Indeed, comparing Kwame to TT is not fair either to TT. As much of a bum TT is, he is much more accomplished than Kwame.
Thanx, you beat me to it. He's not what we need, because we have no legitmate bigs, but he puts the ball in the hole from many places on the court, and he's a big time player as well. Hes also very versatile.
He may not be "what we need", but if we could get him cheap, I would take him on the Knicks in a second, he would definitely improve this team, from outside and in the post, and he would be our most versatile player. You know how everybody is always saying about one big player and another: "He handles the ball like a guard!" Well in Antoine's case this is true.
