08/13-HARDAWAY TO INK IN DALLAS?- 2 years $6.4 million... That's the number out there for Tim Hardaway, its now just a matter of getting Miami to agree to it, and sign and trade him to the Mavs. Tim Hardaway told media over the weekend, that Dallas, specifically, Don Nelson was the only person to show him the respect he feels he deserves, and says he'd love to finish his career with the coach he started it with and has no problem riding the bench behind proven starter Steve Nash. The Mavs still have not made a deal with the Heat and its unclear, if Miami will even make a deal sending out Hardaway without getting something of value in return. I have heard Miami wants a young player, possibly Greg Buckner or Donyell Harvey in the deal, which would lessen what Dallas sends in the form of an exception, or would allow Hardaway to receive a higher annual pay. The Mavs warn they may not be able to make a deal with Hardaway, but they are still working on it. The Heat as usual, had no comment.
Donyell is ours, damnit. if our rivals get him, i'd be pissed off.

I wouldn't worry about Donyell. If Dallas is thinking of trading him, it probably means he was a disappointment.

He will be injure prone his whole career and will get no playing time in Miami. He probably wouldn't even make our team. I think Micheal Wright is as good and he won't make our team.

Why will he (Donyell) be injury prone his whole career?

This guy supposedly can flat out board, and he's much taller than the 6'5" Mike Wright. Are you forgetting that Donyell was taken 17, and Mike Wright 39th? I guarantee if Donyell Harvey was sent to Miami that he'd log 10 minutes per game. Which is good for a second year player on a veteran team.

Frankly, I am more concerned about getting a center than what the Heat are doing.

Granted there isn't a whole lot out there, but as has already been discussed on other threads, Jackson, Miller or Foyle would suffice.
