if they can really get Kwame for Q, like Nike says, Do it, ultimately we can look at it as Nate R and Kwame for KT. We need a big so much more than we need a G. If we can get Kwame and Channing playing at optimum levels, than I think we are much better off going forward. It may not be the popular decision, it could be thw rong dcision, but is the decision that ultimately is worth doing--going for it.

I still believe that a G rotation of Nate Marbury Crawford Ariza and perhaps another G like Badsen on the cheap is very good. We need another quality body upfront. Call kwame a bust, but he still was set to breakout after going 10-7 2 year ago. At 7-0 260, he has the ability to be very good. I think for where we are, for what is age is and a guy who still has very very high potential--who may have been in the poorest of situations, if we can get him here SOON get him working with mark A along with Channing, then I think we the guys hit their upsdie, we would THEN have a good shot for the playoffs. I think kwame CAN give us 15 and 8 from the 5 NEXT year--if Channing can also go 14+7 and together their length could disrupt other teams offenses playing together.

Were playing with house money with Q. Hell I would have been thrileed getting Nate Robinson straight up for KT.

We have to go out and get a big, it wont be easy the market is rediculous, we have to pay the piper and if the piper is Q than go for it. Q can be replaced.

If we're keeping Marbury, we need to take a more proven Big. Magloire would be most people's choice, but the jury's still out if he's attainable. I'd rather take Jerome James or Stro before Kwame. He has potential, but unless we're SERIOUSLY rebuilding, Kwame's not worth the risk just yet...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

We can't trade Q for a while because he was just traded to us. Kwame will be gone long before Q is available in a trade.

I think the only way we get Kwame is in a package with Sweets which is too bad because I'd like to see a frontline of Frye, Kwame, Sweets develop in the next few years.

we could still trade Q before the season. it's a 60 days waiting period so that would be august somewhere.

it would be CRAZY but it could happen.

and you know what briggs - i agree. for all the things we go nuts about stro for - i think kwame can be better and if given the minutes, could post up better numbers now.

BUT the big thing with kwame is his health - that has been his biggest flaw. can he stay healthy?

and the only reason i would consider this is b/c we have NATE in the house and sweets isn't the one being moved. and washington is now in a position of WEAKNESS.

this would be a BALLSY BALLSY move by isiah and one that tells everyone that dolan is ok with rebuilding.

isn't it funny how they just let hughes go like that - without ANY type of compensation. ernie is not that dumb. i think there were other deals lined up or being aggressively talked about to make losing hughes more acceptable.

kwame is a lazy injury bug who somehow managed to get kicked off the team while the team was playing plaoff games, nevertheless. Yeah, he is 7'0 260 but he was 7'0 260 last year also.

Isiah might want a player who actually plays hard

kwame was only injured last season, his previous two seasons he played 80 and 74 games respectively. Every season from his rookie year, his #s have gone up(with the exception of last season when he was injured for most of it). And why should we care if he had trouble with washingtons management? Remember a guy named Latrell Sprewell?

are you trying to compare Sprewell talentwith the talent of a bust named Kwame Brown? Are you actually thinking that if Kwame comes to New york that he will actually play harder? If he can't make it in Washington playing alongside MJ ---where he cried like a b---then how is he going to make it playing in the bright lights of New York City playing with Marbury under Isiah?????

Some of you guys need to stop!

Sprewell was a low draft pick who worked hard to become an All-Star BEFORE he came to NY. He is a new york type of guy.

Kwame is a deer.

for all of you Kurt thomas haters, i'm glad that he will now play in a winning environment so you can stop with the Trade Kurt threads.

The same way you harped on what we didn't have last year will be the same way you will harp thi year. If you lose your best inside player then guess what you have left.

a team of 40% shooters and no rebounders

he probably shouldnt have been a #1 pick, i'm not disputing that. But in no way is he a BUST. He is still a legit, capable, young, athletic CENTER with a great upside. Now tell me how he is a bust rather than making yourself look dumb by laughing at every response without backing up anything you say.

he is a bust. Are you stupid? When you take someone at number 1 you tend to expect great things from that player.

it's comparable to taking Bogut with the number 1 pick rather than taking Lawrence Roberts at number 1.

you still taking great upside. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. WATCH THE GAMES sometimes
