....yes, it's all meaningless, but since Briggs has only been posting stats when guys from other teams have great games, here's some reality from the summer league:

Yesterday:
Blatche 32 min - 2-5fg, 4pts, 5reb, 1blk, 3 TO
Jamal Sampson - 3 min - 0-0fg, 1 reb
Gerald Green 21 min - 3-10fg, 8pts, 0reb, 0ast, 4PF
Devin Harris - 21min - 1-7fg, 4pt, 4ast

When you always look to go negative, you leave yourself open to this. Bab line for Harris, he should be going off. Interesting line for Sampson too. They must have played defense on Blatche.

Good thread, but I can see the excuses, since green and Blatch are just 18 and 19 years old, this is OK, because they have this unbelievably high ceiling, I guarantee you 3 years from now if they are still wallowing in mediocrity we will hear the same excuses again....

in 21 minutes green wan't able to get a board or assist, now shouldn't that alarm you? I mean a rebound usually falls in your hands at some point in a game, it is all about effort and he couldn't record an assist or rebound. That is what I like about trevor, at least he rebounded, defendded and dished the ball, that showed effort and a understanding of the game. Now I am going a little hard on green only because some on here used these meaningless games to measure our rookies, so this is only fair I guess.. I know that one knock on green was his tendancy to be lazy at times, go figure, but hey it is just SL right?

Are they supposed to be All-Stars in 3 years?

after the MCD's game, you were just swinging away on Green. If the Knicks had drafted Green, you would have still been swinging.

Anyone with a brain will tell you that Gerald Green will be twice the player Ariza is, and I like Trevor.

i remember your countless posts about Lampe not being the "typical" euro player and blah blah blah, i told you then Lampe was a scrub.

in 3 years, will Lampe be an All-Star? hahahahahaha. Every young player that is drafted doesn't have a ceiling--- remember that

I like GG but alot of teams were concerned that he won't have the ability to get his shot off better defenders. He lack body size right now but I expect him to mature and get stronger or he can be like Crawford and never get bigger. Though 4 years ago they were saying the same thing about Crawford that when he adds muscle and fills out his frame he will be fine.
