Maybe its a money saving move on Seatles part- having a AARP card carrying coach might get them better rates at hotels and restuarants when on the road- 41 road games- that's a lot of dough!

they technically can pay him $1 a year and the knicks have to pay the difference.

I would assume that every contract has to be made in good faith and approved by the commissioner, making that impossible.
