How in the world can we findout how well our boys are playing if they don't have a PG that can create play for them? I have heard a lot of bitching about Frye and others, but none about the so call PG. Yes he has been scoring the hell out of the ball, but how many assists does he have? We played two teams that showed us a lot about their players, and it is mainly because of the players they have in the back court creating for the others. Telfair did a hell of a job distributing the ball, Nelson did the same today....

At this point, Agwire and Isiah need to tell Nate to layoff shooting or scoring the ball and show us what he has as a playmaker, because he has already demonstrated that he is a scorer, but if he is going to come in and give Marb a breather, he will have to be able to run the show.....

Bulter and the rest of our bigs didn't touch the ball enough....

No reason to bring in a playmaker for the summer league when we would have no intention of signing him this year. The point is to get as much experience as possible for our rookies. This is actually good for Nate -- he'll gain some experience and it will hopefully add a new dimension to his game.

His scoring ability is exactly why he should be on the floor with Crawford at all times. They complement each other so nicely. They can both push the ball, Nate will get after opposing pgs while Crawford can guard 2's, Nate can be a scorer while Craw runs the offense. I think Crawford should be able to become a Larry Hughes type of defender -- he needs to get a little stronger but he should be getting in passing lanes and getting a ton of steals that lead to transition.

I'd love a second unit that presses made up of Nate, Crawford, Ariza, JYD, Frye...

This is the only reason that trading Marbury is somewhat appealing to me. If we can get back a guy like Dalembert, the backcourt rotation of Craw, Q, and Nate is just awesome. With Marbury, Nate probably doesn't play more than 8 to 10 mins a game.

who is Aaron Miles???

Let me correct the poster before that...The reason we have a SL is to evaluate the talents that we have acquired....I am sorry, too often that part of the game has been greatly overlooked. Younger players refuse to distribute the ball, they are much more in love with the 3 point line or scoring instead. When a guy is a PG, it is imperative for him to do his job which is setting other players up. Marb is a scoring PG, but he collects 9 to 10 assists per game. That is something that a lot of Knicks fans are blind too...Nate has to show me a little more in that department. I am not impressed with his play at all. Again fundamentals come first in my book.

Aaron Miles was a very highly touted college prospect coming into college and after his freshman year at Kansas but he never built on his potential. I personally think he's still a pretty good PG, maybe with the right coaching he can live up to what he was touted to be but he's still pretty good. He played all 4 years with Simien and Langford and some of their success is partly due to Miles, because he's a very good passer. I like Aaron, I just don't think the Knicks have a spot for him unless a few trades happen.

I wouldn't be surprised if Miles was our NBDL allocation. He is this pass-first point/ good defense your looking for. We'll see if he gets the minutes.

judging by the numbers that shorty puts up, I don't know if he is the player that we need as our backup PG. He is too short to be a sg, so when Marb or Crawf need a breather, will he be able to run the show? Every team need a playmaker, that young cat is not a playmaker, he is a shoot first type of PG, and we already have that in Marb and Crawff. Although Marb is a shoot first type of pg, but he still dishes out 9 to 10 apg....

So, if Houston and Penny are no longer part of our team, that will open about 2 spots on our roster. We will need another combo guard or SG/TRUE PG.
