I don't know why Badsen isn't on our squad when we desperately need defense & toughness!

Lucas Tischer is the brazilian I wanted at pick 54!

Interesting. The Suns seem very committed in getting Dijon his minutes. :) (played over 40!)

Now this guy Tischer really does look like he has a rela chance to be a serious rebounder in this league. He was a double digit rebounder in the Brazillian league's, heis 6-9 1/2 265 and can really jump. If you have seen a picture of him, he is very muscular like Zo, right around the same size.

Badsen seems to be a real gamer, probably not a workout warrior, probably better to evaluate what he does in games than private worjouts.

Even blatche performed well, he still is 18 years old and I would call his numbers surely holding his own there. They gave him good PT, and I think that will continue, Blatche is defintely a candidate for a steal in the future.

I think Lucas Tischer is playing for the Suns because of Barbosa. He would have been a good pickup for Zeke from the undrafted. I am still wondering why nobody has invited Moussa Badiane and Deji Akindele in their SL roster.

Yes, but we always need to keep in mind - these are summer league numbers against summer league competition.

I was dissapointed NY didn't take Blatche with 30. He's such a talent.

I wanted Lucas before the draft. He's a physical beast!

My draft was:
8-Bynum(Green once he was there for us)
30-Blatche or Taft
54-Tischer

like I was harping on, why draft a low ceiling role player at 8 when you can get a big man as good if not better later in the draft? it happens every year!

here's a picture of Tischer he's massive http://draftexpress.com/viewprofile.php?p=105

reason we passed on Blatche is the same reason we passed on Bynum. This is New York we have to make the safe pick and draft a guy who will be part of multiple 30win teams and put up Kurt Thomas like "solid" numbers on terrible teams. Kurt was always a role player and put up role player numbers behind Camby

wasn't Artest the "safe" pick and Weis the gamble? Would you like to have it both ways? I'm content to have a GM who drafts guys that fit his vision and style of play instead of a GM who bows to external pressure and drafts the flavor of the week.

we're never going to agree on the future of Frye versus the futures of Bynum, Green, Granger & Graham until proven so no point in arguing with each other until then.

don't let me reiterating my views on wasting the 15th overall pick on an unproven low ceiling foreign bigman! The only one I ever wanted the Knicks to draft was Nene because he was a beast and played great against Duncan in the Olympics.

I would've certainly drafted Artest over the foreign stiff who never showed anything professionally!

what has Bynum shown professionally? what has Green shown? Your argument has tremendous flaws.

If anything, Green was said to have shown up in interviews and acted extremely immature and many questioned not just his basketball IQ, but his total IQ. Bynum was a fat boy who didn't show any sort of work ethic in high school until there was money on the table. Do those sound like guys who "showed things professionally"? Blatche had the same questions about his motivations. He may be playing hard in summer league - but that's probably because if he doesn't he won't get a contract and he has no college eligibility left. Summer league in Washington is possibility his last chance to get an American paycheck to hoop.

Meanwhile, you've got Frye, Nate and Lee who "showed things professionally" for three to four years at top college programs in some of the toughest conferences in the country. They're winners, they play defense, they're athletically gifted, they fit needs on our team.

Don't tell me you would've picked Artest over Weis. Artest has a lot more in common with Frye, Nate and Lee than Green and Bynum. Weis was 1999's Petro, who you also loved for his potential.

And please tell me how you are able to determine a player's ceiling? That has everything to do with a players desire, effort, skills and athleticism. Frye, Nate and Lee have those qualities in SPADES. Green, Bynum, Petro are question marks in at least two of the categories, and Green and Petro have no skill set to speak of either. They're big and fast, period.

I loved Petro?????????????????????

now this is getting funny! People wanted to draft him in the lottery! I singlehandly got everyone here off his jock strap after they saw that 1 dunk clip. I was the one saying there is no way he ways 260 and more like 230!
