Well, it looks like 9/11 has come to my city. 3 bus explosions. The entire underground train system shut down. Several reported explosions on the trains. Over 100 casualties already.

Maybe now people will realize that what the Israelis and the US are doing is necessary and vital for the protection of innocent people.

Confirmed as a terrorist act. So far explosions in Tavistock Square, Russell Square (3) roof ripped off the bus, Aldgate East, Moorgate, Marylebone. And its getting worse.

This is horrible. Im in my office in central London, and my hands are shaking. Fear and anger.

My wife was listening to BBC this morning and told me about this. Horrible. Take care of yourself. Best to you, all of yours and your entire city. Those of us who were here in nYC on 9/11/01 know exactly what you're referring to.

Starting to look like there are not that many dead thank god. 100 was too many. Many injuries, but not too many confirmed deaths. Here hoping for the best.

Listen to what these motherfnckers did!!!!

They first blew up the underground trains (5 of the busiest so far), then waited till the authorities closed down the stations, waited till people trying to get to work would get on the bus instead, then blew that up. Sons of bitches!!!!

Its 11.48am here. Police have asked people to not make any unnecessary trips. Staying in my office. There is no public transport at this point, so the only way home for me is to walk or a cab. At least theres no bridge to walk over for me. My sister works in a hospital in Manhattan and she had to walk home over the Brooklyn bridge after she finished treating the wounded. They want to make sure that there are no more attacks planned here, before the call the all clear.

Tony Blair just on TV. Coming to London immediately. Quote - Our determination to defeat this terrorism is greater then their determination to inflict pain and death on innocent people - unquote

The feelings that one experiences from such things varies and changes over time from person to person, country to country, culture to culture.

Most Americans have clearly responded to 9/11 differently than Spainards have since their attacks. (And I am not referring, specifically, to the governements pulling of troops in Iraq).

Examples:

1) Has Spain declared war on any Middle Eastern nation since that day? Why?

2) Did America treat 9/11 as a crime by a specific group of people or an act of war? Why?

I wish you all the best firefly. As a New Yorker who was outside and close to the 9/11 attacks in NYC I understand how you must feel. It is a terrible feeling that I also wish to never experience again. I have good friends in London and hopefully they are alright, but certainly some will not be so lucky.

Thanks Ike, appreciate it. I can promise you that England will NOT take this on the chin. There will be repercussions for this sick, barbaric inhuman act. And just like we stood by you after 9/11, I feel certain that you will do the same here.
