In the Knicks' everlasting quest for a center, they have flirted with Swift, Hunter, and even Kwame "I'm injured. No really.." Brown.

Then, we have dabbled into offers for more proven commodities like Dalembert and Chandler. But, thats not to say there's no daylight there. Chandler can't be happy with his 25 mpg with Eddy hogging the ball and the hot wings. And Dalembert might need to block some of AI's shots to get some for himself. But, I know what Isiah's thinking anyway - young, athletic, and too rich for my blood.

Alternative = Joel Pryzbilla. Good rebounding, shot-blocking and size. Dangle Crawford.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

Portland loves Joel P and just drafted Martell Webster. They love their point guard Sebastian Telfair, why would they do this?

I'm a big fan of Przybilla. I've mentioned over and over that as a starter he did something like 8 pts, 10.5 boards, 2.5 blocks. He really came along last year. I think right now he's still in the last year of an LLE contract and Portland will likely extend him.

B/c he's not an FA and b/c he makes so little money, our chances of getting him are nil.

Im not interested. This is a guy a year removed from averaging .2 points and 2 rbds for Milwaukee. He has some good stats for a bad Portland team, but I gurantee he comes here and tanks.

Crawford offers them that coveted combo-guard who can be part of a three-guard rotation of Telfair, Crawford and Webster. Plus Crawford is young and athletic and allows them to keep DA permanently on the IL. Crawford had good size and potential and if he was 20 lbs heavier, he would have gone #1 or #2 in the draft. I think he can bring the excitement back to Portland.
