Hey, the Kings are thinking about trading Mobley to Denver for Nene. If that is the case, can't we put together a much better package than what the Kings are offering? Crawfford and Sweetney for Nene, draft pick and some cash....

Let the record reflect that if we make a trade with denver involving NeNe and Crawford, I was the first to say it. I had been harping on this for a while now. I don't think Isiah is going to trade Crawford though, from what I have heard from Knick insiders he thinks Crawford is going to be a really special player and is the future of the franchise.

Thats why he got Nate Robinson, him and Nate are really close.

That is a huge mistake...I hope that Isiah is not that crazy about any of our players. In fact I remember his saying that he is not married to anyone. I hope that he reconsider and trade Crawfford if the opportunity presents itself. Nene is a 7' that we can desperately use...

nene does fill a need for a big body in the middle- but before you trade crawford and sweetney- ask yourself who is going to give you more production:

Craw, Sweet & Frye

or

Nene & Frye

Nene hasn't exactly put up great numbers- and partly that could be the system there

When I've watched him play, you see a gracefull athleticism- but that has yet to translate into actual numbers-

I would much rather see what a combo of Nene and Frye can do over shooter like inconsistant Crawfford. Nene and Frye may prove to be a hell of a tandem....they both can rebound, block shots and score...

I honestly think Nene requires more playing time. Last season when Camby was out for a week or so, Nene exploded. Me and guns have been the biggest Nene fans on ultimate. I dont know about guns but any trade that would bring Nene to NY would be welcome in my book.

Actually its more like:

Craw and Frye or Nene and Frye.

Sweets is almost a non-factor. Out lineup will look a lot better with Nene and minus Crawford that it would minus Nene + Crawford. I dont know why Denver would take Sweetney though. I actually think there is no change that Denver trades Nene to NYC.

George Karl was in love with TT- maybe he could become in love with Marbury to push a similar deal.

yeah, it would have to be expanded to get a 3rd team involved:

maybe marbury + denver #1 to atlanta
smith and harrington to denver
and nene + hodge to ny

I called it 2 years ago that Nene would be the knicks Pick and then I was DISPPOINTED to see him traded for a washed up Dice. If Dice was healthy the trade would have been fine but even Today's Dice is not worth Nene to me.

I am all for a Crawford for Nene. Robinson can play back up PG/SG for NY and be paired with either Steph or Q.

Pull the trigger Isiah.

Steph/Nate
Q
TT/Ariza/JYD
Nene/Sweets/Rose/MoT
Frye/Nene/

Yeah. This is one trade that I was hoping would happen and I have done some trade scenarios in the past that would bring us Nene and their 2 draft picks. Now that the draft is over, I figured that this trade helps both sides.

Crawford for Nene and Lenard. Basically, it is a Nene for Crawford where we cut Lenard right away.

Then I got a little crazy. Well, more like bored since I am reading 8 design documents right now.

How about this HUGE 4 team trade...

Successful Scenario

New York: Why do we do it? We get an overload on Centers! A one year PG in Terry till Nate is ready for backup PG. Obviously, we would need to cut some players or send to NBDL. We can trade JYD and/or Rose for a guard. A JYD for Jason William(Memphis) would be good. Just for insurance.
C-Frye/Araujo/Butler/Woods
PF-Nene/Lee/MoT
SF-Ariza/TT/Rose
SG-Q/Terry/Williams
PG-Crawford/Nate

Denver: Dang! Starbury with Anthony!
Their starting 5
C-Camby, PF-Martin, SF-Anthony, SG-Hodge, PG-Marbury
Bench-Sweetney, Boykins

Dallas: They get a reliable tough PG in Miller and get fan favorite Najera back. They could have used Najera against Amare this year. They lose a promising young PG and Terry "The Scapegoat".

Toronto: They cut their losses in Araujo and parlay it to a young PG. A Starting 5 of C-Bosh,PF-Villanueva,SF-Eric Williams,SG-Rose,PG-Harris is better than what they had last year.

YUP! I like it!

Why cut Lenard? The guy can shoot!!! He could be a dale ellis specialist type player at the end of the bench? I like Lenard, especially if HOuston is cut. Ny needs to still stretch the D.

He is still injured. Also, he is a Miami "Pat Riley" Heat! Grrr!

We have Q. Terry, Williams and Jamal are all combo guards anyways. With the trees I assembled on this trade scenario, we would not have any problems in the rebounding and shot blocking department. Imagine a 1-2-2 zone that Spurs likes to use with Frye and Nene at the back. Have Q and Jamal at wings and Ariza playing the top! Their PG would have a tough time getting around Trevor leaving Q and Jamal to play the passing lanes. 2 shot blockers to erase mistakes.
