...but based in what another team wants. The Cavs are looking to move Drew Gooden for a more rugged forward. Gooden for Sweetney? The would have to throw in Ira Newble to make it work, or we could give them a JYD or Malik Rose since they can absorb the salary cap hit, and still have enough millions left to sign Redd, Zydrunas and even another guy in the $6 million range.

Why would the Cavs do this? They need rugged bigs to complement Zydrunas. Sweetney and Malik fit this mold. They also need warm bodies who can play: they only have 7 guys under contract right now, and two of those are Luke Jackosn and Sasha Pavolic. I think they would jump on the opportunity to dump Gooden for two rugged PFs who play the game hard and rebound well. They are a little small, but Zydrunas and Lebron help to offset that. They would also still have room to offer a guy like Kwame or Swift $6, just over the MLE.

Why would the Knicks? Let's face it: Chandler, Curry, Dalembert and Swift are hopelessly out of our league. Gadzuric is restricted, and thus also out of league. Chris Andersen has re-signed. Hunter is a nice piece and to my mind, still worth signing, but he's nobody's starter. Gooden comes in and starts next to Frye. Gooden is a great rebounder and would thrive in an uptempo game. IF the Wizards won't play ball with the Kwame trade, Gooden may be our next best bet. And let's face it part2: Gooden is better than Kwame right now and will probably continue to be for the forseeable future. Sure, Kwame has the higher upside, but Gooden averaged 15ppg 9rpg and 1.5 blocks last year. Gooden may well already be at Kwame's upside. Gooden is a little thin, he's about 6-10 240lbs, but he's tough. He can run and he'd be a very nice piece. Sign Hunter to back him and Frye and this team has a lot of size all the sudden.

Marbury, Nate
Craw, Q

Gooden, Lee, Mo T
