Look, the Knicks need a shotblocker in the front court...In 5 years, Kwame only blocked 125 shots,,,,,at this point, Swift 509 blocks in 5 year and Hunter 254 fit our need much more than Kwame's aweful stats...Let's not forget that Kwame got more minutes than each of those other two....

Hunter played for 2798 minutes
Swift played for 7401 minutes
Gadzurick played for 3803 minutes and blocked 263 shots and grabbed about 1217 rebounds....that is more than what Kurt did..

and our beloved Kwame 5737

That is a huge disparity...Hunter's number look a lot better in my opinion and they are all about the same age,,,,how can we say that Kwame is more talented and can turn out to be a star in this league??? It looks to me that Hunter has improved his numbers every year, especially when he gets minutes...

Kwame's blocks are better if they came at crucial moments in games rather than garbage time--we need more information, get back to us when you have those numbers. Thanx.
And the reply is...a post that makes sense (still waiting)

we have Frye for that man! we desperately need a guy in the frontcourt who will be a beast inside. Similar to Jermaine. until then be content with 39win seasons and 1st round exits

Kwame is not a good shotblocker but thats not the reason we'd be getting him in the first place. Gambling on youth, size and upside. We just have to be careful with what we give up in order to make it a reasonable risk to take.

Kwame is actually a good defender, and seems to play harder on that end when challenged.

whether or not kwame can be reclaimed, the fact is Hunter's done a decent job of swatting shots- Phoenix got KT because they want his j & his boards-

Hunter is going to be cheaper than both Swift & Kwame, and while he'll probably never put up numbers like they will or can, its about value and paying little for a situational/role guy that can get some blocks and boards is greater than what Kwame & Swift might or might not do.

Exactly...Kwame is not a freaking Center, he is simply a PF. If Isiah is willing to trade: Sweetney, JYD and Malik, I would say it is ok to bring in a guy like Kwame, but until then, the idea should be to find a Center. I don't give a rat ass about Kwame's potentials, because he has been in the league for 5 years and has yet to put it together.

Go for Hunter who is a true center and work on moving the other 3 PFs for another backup Center and to solidify other spots in our roster. With TT and Penny soon to be traded, we will have a big hole at the SF position, unless if we are willing to retain JYD for defense and hustle.

yet we drafted Frye who now isn't even our Center he is our PF? Now that people finally realize he's going to get pushed around by good teams with good frontlines

Isiah drafted Frye because he doesn't believe that Sweetney is the PF of the future. He knows that Frye is not a Center and he will move Sweetney in due time. My only problem with this idea is that if you are going to trade a PF why in the world would you want to replace him by another PF while our need is at the Center position?

I am strongly hoping that Isiah back the hell away from the Kwame infatuation, because Kwame can't provide us what we need. Go for Gazurric, Hunter or James, because that is their natural position. Now if Isiah wants to trade with Washington, the guy that he should go after is Brandon Haywood.

Hunter's a scrub...don't want him.

Swift would be a better choice, but Kwame's got more upside than either one of them, hence the reason the Knicks maybe interested.

i say we go for gadzuric... this guys a beast of a defender... when the bucks vrs the knicks... that guy hounded the boards and blocked easy layups

the only problem w/ him is that he may be a bit 2 expensive 4 the knicks. And that he turns 28 in Feb.
Marbury is finally home at MSG!

I don't get it, what not to like about Gadzuric or Hunter's numbers??? KG/TD/SHAQ/J. Oneal/Ben/Sheed are not available, get a couple of serviceable bigs like Gadz and Hunter to play Center and our future will be very bright. A trade for Gadzurick is very doable and give Hunter $3 millions for over 4 years, and we will suddenly have a hell of a nucleus at both PF and Center.

28 is perfect. We don't need a guy like Kwame who is much more immature than the rookies that we just drafted. We need a player who knows his role and one who is willing to do the little things a la JYD to help his team get better. We have enough primadonas on our roster right now to add Kwame. My choices are: Dalembert, Hunter, GAdzuric (played 3803 and blocked 263 shots), Swift, Jerome James. No Kwame please

Believe it or not, Hunter will be the guy that Isiah gets. He is affordable and young...MOst of all, he provides what Isiah wants: shot blocking and length...
