The All Star Game is approaching this week and it is an important game. The winner of the game gets homefield advantage in The World Series. The bad effects of the fans voting could cost the national league home field advantage. I was watching espn before the selecton show and the anylyst guessed the nl outfield to consist of Carlos Lee(nl leader in rbi),Andruw Jones(nl leader in hr's) and Boby Abreau. Then came time for the selection show and they showed the nl outfield. It consists of Boby Abreau(anylysts guessed right), Carlos Beltran, and Jim Edmonds. Are the fans crazy? Carlos Beltran is said to be the biggest bust of the year, besides Barry Bonds. Carlos has just 9 home runs. Guys like Bill Hall have turned out big this year and have more home runs than carlos. I make it sound like the all start game is all about home runs not to mention that Detroit isn't a home run ballpark, but homeruns do play an important role in big games. Jim Edmonds, cmon fans. Jim edmonds is a good player, but lets vote for the guys who deserve the starting role in the All Star Game. I am from New York and did not vote Beltran or Piazza. Piazza as the starting catcher?I dont know whats going on. I know New York is a big state and can understand all the votes for theses players, but i dont understand why Cliff Floyd didnt get voted as a starting outfielder. He leads the mets in hrs and is also putting up better numbers than starting outfielder for the National League All Star Team, Carlos Beltran. One more thing to say. Scott Rolen. How many games has he played?? Around 42, i would rather have a guy like Morgan Ensberg or even Joe Randa. I think that it is good for fans to vote, but vote wisley. Please
