trade him to philly for jamal mashburn and a 2007 # 1 pick, we take on mashburn and his contract is being paid 80% for the next two years
80% of 10mm=2mm+2mm==the cost of buying a first round pick.
Philly gets a player who can play a position that is scary for them with Webber's being shaky.

You know, I'm still waiting for IT to give me one reason for getting Mo Taylor.

Why in the world did he get him to get rid of him? I think he has some kind of plan for him, at least I hope he did not just make a trade for the heck of it cause he was gettin a better player.

I dunno, its hard to make up trades for Mo, when he is here for no apparent reason. My guess is he is stayin and somebody else is gettin traded, probably Sweetney and or Rose since we got picks from that trade.

I would not be suprised if we traded Rose/JYD for Kwame as the Wizards need some tougness and experience for a playoff team.

After that we would still have Sweetney, Taylor, and David Lee at the 4. Now Lee is supposed to be ready to play, and we did pick him over potential driven picks like Taft, so I'm assumin IT wants to make room for him to play, otherwise might as well draft Taft or Blatche and put them into NBDL as Lee is certaintly not gettin any better in there or on the end of the bench.

So I'm assuming we are also going to trade Sweetney along with either TT or Penny for a big money frontcourt player via sign and trade or just trade. Somebody like Curry/Chandler, Gasol, Brand, etc.

This will leave with Lee playin backup C and Mo backup PF, with Kwame in there with an outside chance at takin away Mo's mintues. If that happens we'll trade Mo to a team with a need for a lowpost scorer of the bench.

But either way, there is a lot of trades to be made with all these PFs on the roster.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Even if Mashburn's contract is 80% covered, it still counts 100% for the tax

UMM so does Taylor's, the team saves 16mm$ and if they cut H2) another 40mm, thats 56 mm in savings in 2 years. Sorry but if the goal is to get younger, why pay out so much money when you are not in position to win? Give Taylors time to Lee Sweetney and Frye

here's another idea. When no FA even visits the Hawks because they suck so bad how about we offer Mo T for a 2nd pick? I'm serious. The Hawks may need him just to make the minimum salary. We could offer them cash as well. Another bonus would be we would get a $10mm trade exception which would be VERY valuable come the deadline.
