The hell with guys like Kwame or Taft or TT and all of the other underachievers that are regarded as a possibility of becoming a great player. I am sick and tired of that assumption. Just because someone can jump out of the gym or bench press 2000 lbs does not mean that he has the smarts necessary to help a team to become great. Rasheed may be crazy, but he is smart enough to know what his team needs and when to deliver it. Ben may not have the athletic abilities necessary to become a great offensive player, but he is smart enough to know what his strengths are and try to use them to dominate the game.

Now that we are looking for a Center, most on this board are crying about bringing in a young player like Kwame to do the job, and most base their assumption on the fact that he is young/athletic and big, but failed to take in consideration the biggest thing (how smart this kid is) (how much does he desire to better his game or take advantage of his skills). KG might have been really frail when he first entered the league, but he always had his fire....That is something you can't teach....

One of the thing that N.Y. has been lacking since Oak and Mason left N.Y is a guy that can patrol the paint and punish people for violating that space, we need to go out and recruit a guy that can do just that. Not another primadona like TT.

If Washington agrees to send Jared Jeffries in a trade with Kwame, by no mean, I would jump in this in a heart beat. I happen to be one who believes that in Jefferies, we can everything that we expected from the lazy TT

Jeffries game is far superior than Ariza to tell you the truth.. He may not be the dunker that Ariza is, but Jeff is much smarter of a player than Ariza..

we already have Jefferies...his name is Trevor Ariza...but if he comes in a package w/Kwame i would jump on it too, depending on what we're giving up that is.

Ben was traded twice, and played a similar role to Hunter's until he got to Detroit. Dumars team was depleated at Center and offered Ben the starting job, although he was a liability offensively, but he presented a hell of a problem for the opposing team in the defensive end. Don't under estimate a guy like Hunter while over estimate Kwame....
