My question is, why does JYD get traded every few years? Every minute he played last year for the knicks he was awesome, and he really should be a starter or sixth man. His offense isn't horrible, he has a 12 foot-j and he'll drive the lane, and needless to say he's a beast on defense. Also, he keeps the bench active with his enthusiasm. I can't understand why he isn't a starter. I'd rather lose Sweets than JYD to be honest if IT needs to give up a good player to make a trade.

I agree, but it seems like whenever we tried starting him, we'd lose and he went right back to the bench. He probably makes the rest of the slackers feel bad about themselves. And nobody wants Craw, Marbs abd TT to feel bad.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

IMO it's basically because his contract worked well to include him in deals.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

He's one of the few guys on the roster I don't consider over paid for what they bring to game.

I'd love it if IT figures out a way to hold onto JYD and then give him some real minutes this year. With guys like Ariza, JYD, Nasty Nate - we could start to have some psychological strength and intimidation again.

Yeah I think keeping JYD is essential to the style of play that we seem to be building. JYD did a terrific job on the one man press last year. Imagine JYD and Nate pressing in the backcourt? That'd keep us in a lot of ballgames.

I know man. We got back into that Philly game by JYD pressing with Moochie. Imagine him doing that with Nate? I'm thinking this is a player I'd like to keep...

AND JYD was pressuring the hell out of T-mac one time we played this year too. I definitely would rather trade Malik than him.

Wow you guys might be overreacting...

JYD is a garden favorite. But that's it. He's a spark plug. He's a guy who gives it 110% but who really does not have too much skill. That's not worth 6-7 mil.

JYD is the definition of an accessory - something thats nice to have, but isnt essential. He's at most a 20mpg guy. He definitely shouldn't be a starter and shouldnt even be a sixth man. We're not gonna win many games cause of him.

Hey, i love JYD and the energy he brings to the floor. But if he needs to be filler for some trade then.. its been nice knowing him.

I would like to keep JYD, but you just don't know how many of the PF's you can trade, and if something is certain is that we still have to trade one or two. JYD is all energy, a crowd favorite. He is a great role player to have, but we also have a championship winner in Malik, a post up scorer in Mo T, a young post up presence and possible starter in Sweetney, and a new athletic and high energy PF in Lee. Thats a lot. Someone has to go, and the disadvantage guys like JYD, Malik and MO T have is that they aren't getting any younger.

Im hoping that we can land one or two centers to balance the team and have a better chance at making the playoffs next season. If that happened and we were a playoff contender, I would love to have a guy like JYD off the bench. But it remains to be seen which trades are we going to be able to make...

Simple, he can't dribble or shoot.

JYD's contract is no worst than Mo T's, he brings a lot to the table and the funny thing is that he gives it his best wherever he plays...He is an asset that Isiah can not afford to lose. Trade either Sweetney, Mo, Crawff or Rose before even consider letting my man JYD go.

JYD is 1 of the only players i DON'T want to see traded under any circumstances...he's 1 guy who really excels playing in his role, & we need those types of players to win games.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
