No thanks to that. I like Harris a lot, from the little I've seen from him, but I'd much rather see if we can move Marbury for a big and just move Jamal to the 1 and I have no desire to bring back Keith Van Horn either.

Replace Van Horn with Dirk and I'll do it. Otherwise I'll happily keep Marbury

I've been thinking about it, but the only Marbury trade I can think of would have to involve someone young and big or a blue chip player somewhere else on the court.

I'd do Marbury for

Corey Maggette
Chris Wilcox

I can't really think of too much else...

number 1 you have to get a team willing to take on 4 years 80mm. So eliminate most teams

so I identified Dallas as a team who may be willing to go for it and has assests that are attractive. The 5th pick in the draft, the highest rated PG last year coming into the draft, KVH and a future unrestricted pick is probably more than we paid!!!!!!!

People tend to go over board, Harris didnt get a chance to play enough last year but he's going to be a serious player

We can get more for Marbury. We just shouldn't trade him just for the sake of trading him and balancing the roster. Only trade him for the right deal, and thats not one of them...

Its not even close. A decent young player and a late first round pick for an all-star caliber player in his prime? No friggin way!!!

This trade sux ass!

its not such a bad deal- don't like KVH coming back- and I would say to get two picks- 07 and lets say 09.

KVH?? Get the hell outta here with that madness.

Why in God's name would ANYONE in their right mind want that fool back? STOP it, just STOP IT.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Madness? Doesn't anyone remember that KVH becomes an expiring contract this Summer? So pretty much, lets say we let them all expire. Marbury is off our books, as well as Penny, TT, KVH, with Houston and Anderson coming off in a year, putting us in contention for LeBron, or Bosh? Actually, coming to think of it, I WOULD do this trade, and not b/c of Devin Harris. KVH would be quite valueable in terms of him being an expiring contract. Good trade.

Thats the 5th pick in last years draft a 6-3 athletic PG who is 21 years old

KVH=good player with max ending contract
and an additional pick

thats the high edn market for something like that. If this is rebuilding, then thats the type of trade you get. Its not bad, you get a high caliber young stud PG an ending contract an additional pick+take off 55mm off your payroll???

No team is giving you a premium for Marbury. A team willing to take Marbury is a team that wants to win today

If not the type of trades that may be there are Steve Francis types, where the money is the same.

This would be a trade I'd make...

but not now.

This makes sense if the Knicks younger players are doing alright but they are still held back by a few poor contracts and bad coaching. If the Knicks are 15-25 around Christmas and just not making any noise, and Dallas isn't playing Harris and has no PG, I'd make this move and I think they would too.

Then rebuilding would be in full effect, they'd have 3 first rounders in next year's draft (most likely a very good lotto and 2 at the backend of the first round) and a nice young core of players.

i don't see us being able to get equal value back. I don't know who has the right combination of players, that they'd be willing to trade.

It wouldn't be my first choice by any means, but I would definately consider it.
Whether they're actually getting minutes or not...having both TT and KVH on the roster is a nightmare!

You have TT and KVH on the roster for, what, 4 months? Then, if Houston is bought out and w/ Marbury gone, the Knicks would be about $6 million under the cap.

If that idioitic Mo Taylor trade wasn't done, the Knicks would have enough money to offer max money to someone.
