You also have to throw in the second round pick we threw their way.
I'm over it now...but what a lousy trade!

you know, if we DO trade Sweetney, Mo Taylor would be our only guy off the bench who could score in the post. I don't love him, but he is instant offense which a young team with say Frye and Kwame might need. He isn't a horrible guy to have around. Yeah, he's expensive, but that's never stopped us before.

It was Isiah's worst move and it's not a move that kills the franchise. I could see the team winning 66 games one year and people still complaining about the Taylor deal and Briggs still worrying that the team will acquire Antoine Walker

That's true. If/when Sweetney is traded, then the Taylor deal will look better (though I still would be against the deal)

Still remains to be seen...he's got as much potential (probably more) as sweetney.

If both of them are in shape, MoT is better.

Mo is not a better rebounder...Sweet will try to bring it every night, Mo T. is not as consistant...I don't know, it is a toss up...but one of them has to go...whomever can land us a bigger player with heart is who we need to let go...

Well said. I actually liked MO, he has a very nice offensive skill set, its his defense that really really sucks.

I really don't see Sweetney's defense being better than Mo's defense.

A) He may be able to play this year and earn his money (low post monster)
B) he makes what Ilgauskus is asking for (and other free agent centers are looking to get)

I think Mo is going to slim down and could possibly start (he used to play with Q I think on the clippers)

I believed that is when he had his best year. I sure hope that Mo comes out and perform, because he is a very talented dude. He is earning a lot of money and it makes no sense for him to be out of shape. Hire a strength and conditioning coach and hire a nutritionist to help trim that big butt of yours big fella

I said it before and I'll say it again, I actually liked Mo Taylor when he was on the rockets. He has quite an offensive skill set, post moves, jumpers, the works. Defense is where he really lacks, if he can get that straight he can be a good contributor on our team.

I think we should have a new Mo Taylor thread every week for the next five years. Losing that 2nd round pick really hurts.
