i certainly will morph to the darkside and understand that all these moves were to play softie run and gun. I know our big man options are not good, I know its not likely we will get a real C unless they are second hand shtty and we over pay[unless an unusual trade comes through but i doubt it]

Im sorry but a line up of

Frye
walker
q
Crawford
Marbury

wont win 30 games and will lead in the league in three point attempts, and worst in defense

Exactly. However a team that puts Ariza at the 3 and a guy like Hunter or Chris Anderson up front could make some things happen if they come together. Play guys like Rose, Nate Robinson, Crawford, Sweets to round off the rotation.

The only Centers who will compliement Frye are Shaq, Duncan & possibly Yao. Not Dalembert, Chandler, Gadzuric, Hunter & Co. so forget about that. We have enough backup centers in Butler and Rose. Trade these bums we have at PF and no the next best thing.

Bring in a young athletic 6-10 PF like Wilcox who will fit right into this none winning, no playoff success team Isiah is building. It would be nice if we could get someone like Brand and actually contend in the East but that isn't happening. If we can get Wilcox for the garbage we have I'll be estatic!

You're counting 6'7'' Rose as a center? Or Butler who is as raw as they come. Given mins Hunter, Gadz, or Anderson would produce in a big way for us. They'll give us rebounding, post defense, and shotblocking.

Nah man, Frye will not be the starting center. Like all of the rookies he will come off of the bench and earn his starting role....Just like Camby. That said, if we get yet another power forward who starts at center? I garauntee you that they'd rather their rookies to come off the bench unless their name is LeBron, Athony or Wade.

what good will they do when opposing PGs, SGs & SFs are going to be lighting us up from the perimeter as they did last year? and getting in their faces and forcing the knicks into taking bad shots from the perimeter late in the game because no one can score inside? Hence the reason we collapsed over 50 times last year late in the 4th

The Knicks aren't gettting Walker. That rumor came from Walker who knows the Celtics are gonna low ball him.

It's a work in progress. We're not winning the championship next season but at least we're putting together some nice young pieces. The reason we need Hunter or Gadz or Stro Swift is because our perimeter defense is so bad right now. We need shotblockers inside to help guard the lane. Frye and Hunter would give us that. At the deadline, I'm pretty sure we'll be able to find a very solid powerfoward with either TT or Penny. If clipps are struggling, we may even be able to go after Brand.

when we finally build a complete team that plays defense and scores and defends inside and outside then I'll drink the kool-aid and be the first to credit the GM for wanting to win. Until then I'm not buying into a team that is significantly worse than at least 20 other teams like I bought into the young and exciting division winning team we put tother last year.

But the fact is we're moving in the right direction. Regardless if this team produces wins or not, Isiah is stockpiling assets. We have addressed some issues and there are still many more areas where we need to improve -- perimeter defense, post defense, toughness.

The fact is that this team has a lot of potential. If Q sticks to his word and goes back to abusing people in the low post, I really think he can turn into an allstar.

Although Frye wasn't the sexy pick, he can definitely average 15, 8, and 2 blocks. If he adds another 10 pounds of muscle, who knows, he could be a border line allstar. We added some much needed toughness with Q, Nate, Lee.

The most incomprehensible trade Isiah has made is the one for Mo Taylor.

Agree. Walker is trying to get pay...There is no room for Walker in N.Y., at least not anymore...

I think Kwame is the main target. To be fair, Zeke has said he's searching for a 7-footer and Kwame more or less fits that bill.

I love to take a shot on Kwame and have MArk Aguirre work with him the way he worked with Jermaine and turn polish Kwame's low post game. He'd could potentially be the perfect jermaine o'neal like PF to compliment Frye. or he could be a bust who doesn't have the basketball IQ to be a starter and offensive force but its a much better gamble than wasting money and a roster spot on a Hunter/Gadzuric etc

Well, we can't afford Gadzuric anyway, he's a RFA. I still say the Knicks should offer Hunter 4yrs $15 million AND also try to trade for Kwame. They're different players, and we have a need for each.

He's right... Walker is garbage. He's the very last thing this team needs. I really really hope Isiah has zero interest in Walker.

Walker could be a nice help to the offense, but we already have plenty of offensive minded players. The team needs a defensive anchor and perhaps a backup shooting guard or something (Houston?) but lets stay away from Walker. I'm already not thrilled with Kwame Brown. Please not Walker too.
