Briggs, I want to hear what you think now about the draft and the direction of this team. Everyone is waiting. You can come out of mourning now. Haven't seen you around. Did you become a lakers fan?? Where is Briggs's state of the Knicks address? Can someone please post it.

You should see how much he's killing Channing Frye on the MSG boards, calling it one of the worst decisions in Knicks history

well, the consensus from draft and pick grades seems to be overwhelmingly supportive of channing, saying he'll contribute now with some real needs and will be good for a long time. bynum not getting much hype, seems to be emphasizing the risk factor. time will tell, but briggs would be in the minority

Isiah has said that he tried to acquire the 10th pick to pick Bynum or Green (my guess is that he would have picked Bynum). He obviously recongizes his potential, but he likely picked Frye at least as much for finanical reasons as basketball reasons.

He uses a different name there. It's the name of a player from the same college he went to in Conn. You can probably figure it out.

I have no address. I like all of the players we drafted including Channing Frye. I have brought up the critiscms of Frye because I didnt and still dont believe he is what the Knicks think he is.

I like Nate, if I didnt know better, I would think isiah stole my line about him being a top 3 pick if he was 6-2, about his toughness etc.. but I also firmly believe that pick was earmarked for Julius Hodge, then they realized what Bynum was, then Green slipped and then they settled for Robinson. I do wonder why we didnt offer GS Sweetney and picks 21 and 30, because if you looked at the board, it was highly likely that their two targets warwick and Diogu wouldve been there at 21 and on top of it, Sweetney in shape is around what Diougu is. They couldve literally walked out with both players.

David Lee is a fine 30 pick but does lack some girth. They are listing him at 249 and he weighed in at the combines at 229.

I also like Channing frye, but obviously without mentioing names, i thought there was better and bigger selctions.

I like what Isiah is doing in concept. He has brought on tougher Gs--more to my liking, but I feel like we shouldve gone bigger in the draft and looked towards 2006 for a 6-10 skilled athletic PF like Josh Mcroberts, Boone etc... but there will be no C like the one we bypassed.

How do you know he didn't offer that? I'm not saying he did; I just don't get the assumptions you make. Maybe GS (and the rest of the league for that matter) has little interest in Sweetney and didn't want to risk that someone else would take Ike before the 20s.
