We have all heard the stuff Frye has been saying and he's really growing on me. I'm still not thrilled about the pick, but I am happy we have a gut that really wants to be here. He's saying the right things and I can only hope he means half of what he says regarding working out and getting better. Camby averaged something like 6,6 and 8 boards a game at UMass and becomes one of the leagues great rebounders under JVG. If the heart is there good things can happen. Hopefully Channing gives us a nice suprise.

As for Q check out this quote:
"I'm thrilled that I'm getting back to playing the way I play: downright dirty and nasty," said the 6-foot-6 Richardson. "When I get people down in the post, I'm going to abuse them and score.

"This past season I found myself - and no disrespect to them - little guys guarding me. Guys like Jason Terry and other point guards because teams knew I was standing on the perimeter. In years past, I had power forwards and small forwards guarding me."

actually camby averaged 21 pts, 8 boards, and 4 blocks i think. it's comforting to know that he only grabbed 8 boards a game in college and is one of the best reboudners in the game now, because it means Frye definitely has the potential to step things up.

I wasn't all that excited about the draft, but in all fairness to Isiah which sounds odd i know coming from me.....

The team is slowly getting an identity

We have tough hard noised workers: Q, Nate, Lee, JYD, Malik, and Frye is going to be a hard worker, and has the will to learn which is important....

It all comes down to coaching and finding the right system, Crawford really need to revaluate his game......

This team is better than the Bulls, Wizards, Sixers if they play the right way....

We need to use Q,TT, and Lee in the post against small fowards, and we honestly could have a 10 man rotation, I like the idea of pressing, have a unit come in to really pressure the ball (Nate, Ariza, Lee, Junk, and Malik or Frye)

Marburys minutes need to be cut back into the 36 range to keep him fresh and healthy......

But this team is really moving in the right direction, I don't like the fact that Penny, Tim, and Mo are on the roster if we can't get a real impact player at the deadline i think its time to talk buyout

Some big name rebounders in the NBA this past season & best college rebounding season averages:

Ben Wallace "only" 10.5rpg at a Div II school
Marion peaked at 9.3rpg at UNLV, but 12.8rpg at JUCO
Murphy peaked at 10rpg
Odom peaked at 9.4rpg
Camby peaked at 8.2rpg
Chris Bosh averaged 9rpg
Nazr Mohammed averaged 7.2rpg in his 3rd and final season
Samuel Dalembert peaked at 5.7rpg in 2 seasons at Seton Hall
Gadzuric peaked at 8.6rpg

I suppose things don't bode well toward Frye becoming a double-digit rebounder in the NBA.

i think lee can REALLY push for major PT as soon as malik and jyd are gone. getting another big man here is important but a platoon of sweets and lee is DAMN good, imho.
