Dale Davis - Unrestricted F.A.
Height: 6' 11"
Weight: 252 lbs.
He would come very chip, part of the LLE maybe, LLE tops. He is a guy who we can use of the bench to play the bigger centers whom Frye would have trouble guarding, while sliding Frye to the 4, when we are playin Shaq for instance.

Dan Gadzuric - Restricted F.A.
This one has been talked about a lot already, so on reason to rehash. One of the top bigs available this offseson really.
Zaza Pachulia Restricted F.A
Height: 6' 11"
Weight: 240 lbs.
A young, talented, banger who can would make for a very nice backup C in this leage, in my opinion at least.
What is interesting is that he and Gadzuric are on the same team, and both are RFA's, but if we go after both hard, the Bucks would be forced to choose one to defend w/ their monetary resrouces.

Daniel Santiago Unrestricted F.A
Height: 7' 1"
Weight: 260 lbs.
A big guy who can do some banging in limited minutes, nice 6 fauls, should be very very chip. Might agree to a vet minimum. I like him as a 3rd string C who can come in in case of faul trouble and injuries.

Kwame Brown Restricted F.A
This one has been beaten to death, so no need to go into this.

Zeljko Rebracca
Height: 7' 0"
Weight: 265 lbs.
A big skilled backup quality C who can be had on the chip after a disapointing injury filled Clipper season. Could be used just like Santiago.

Mamadou N'Diaye
Height: 7' 0"
Weight: 255 lbs.
A shotblocker, with some size. Another very chip option. I have no idea what he can do other then blocks shots. I remember him having a nice summer league last year. He could be a nice backup or 3rd stringer.

Mikki Moore
Height: 7' 0"
Weight: 223 lbs.
Very light, not much of a shotblocker, but could be useful as a backup with some length. Had a nice year last season, for his standards anyways. I personally don't like him, but he would also be very chip and a good riks, we can just cut him if anything. A good candidate for an unguratneed contract.

Chris Andersen
Height: 6' 10"
Weight: 220 lbs.
One of the other obvious choices.

Steven Hunter
Height: 7' 0"
Weight: 240 lbs.
Same as above.

Jake Voskuhl
Height: 6' 11"
Weight: 255 lbs.
Another big body who would play some good backup minutes, kinda the same as Santiago and everyo other 7 footer who is around and over 250 pounds but is no gift to basketball. In my opinion this one hussles and play swith heart, but don't all crappy players? Anyways, a decent backup.

Joel Przybilla
Height: 7' 1"
Weight: 255 lbs.
I'm not sure if he is a FA, or an RFA. If he is he is one of my top choices. Great shotblocker, rebounder, and very physical. Had an awesoem second half of the season with the Blazers. Very good size, heis no Santiago clone.

Darius Songaila
Height: 6' 9"
Weight: 248 lbs.
I like him a lot. He played very well for Sac when given time, put up nice numbers as a starter during all of their injuiries. Can play backup C or PF. Ironically he is similar to a less athletic David Lee.

Jerome James
Height: 7' 1"
Weight: 272 lbs.
We all know all about him.

Reggie Evans
Height: 6' 8"
Weight: 245 lbs.
A homeles man's Ben Wallace?

Nazr Mohammed
Height: 6' 10"
Weight: 250 lbs.
I'm not sure he is a FA either, realgm seems be updated for some and not for others.
But I think he is a nice backup C.

Jarron Collins
Height: 6' 11"
Weight: 255 lbs.
A black Santiago.

So there it is, too bad most of them suck.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

also theo ratliff if he gets waived by portland. if that happens i would definitely want to jump on him as a 2-3 year rental until our young guys are ready to step up full time.

agreed. I was thinking it'd be nice to trade TT for Ratliff. But it'd be even nicer if Portland was paying Ratliff's salary and he signed a vet minimum here.

At this point, I think our focus should just be getting a Doleac/Dudley-type stiff w/ the LLE who can play minutes against giant lumbering opponents. I'd like to see Frye get 30mpg from the get-go and have a shot at ROY.

I think we're a little too far off from contending to try to hit a home run with a star at the MLE; we'll be able to position ourselves for a trade in the middle of the year if we keep the MLE available.

i think Isiah will make an offer for Kwame Brown...maybe Sweetney & Malik if WAS isn't set on resigning Kwame?

C - Frye / Butler
PF - Kwame / Mo T / Lee
SF - TT / Ariza / JYD
SG - Q / Crawford
PG - Marbury / Nate

I think the Wizards would seriously consider that trade. I see no way they will re-sign him. The offered the qualifying offer just to make sure they get something in a sign and trade deal.

i think most Knick fans would love to finally have a team full of youth like that, even if it took a few years for them to develop & challenge for the postseason.

Even though Knicks play uptempo style i think it's a done deal that Big Z is going to play for New York.

everything i've read says that Danny Ferry is making it a priority to resign Z.

That is a nice team. I would think about starting Ariza over TT though to balance out defense vs. offense. I like to have TT coming off the bench where he has the most success in his NBA career. Mo T backing up Kwame would be excellent because you get a better version of Sweetney (at least right now) who showed signs at the end that he wanted to play defense. Kwame is a bum but a talented bum. Put a quality coach in there that will teach and develop young players. Nate McMillian could be the perfect fit for a team like that.

Also, Isiah has to make every effort to get Morris in here. I understand his agent will say Frye won't let him develop but I think Isiah actually envision Frye as a hybrid playing the 4 or 5 at times.

agreed...Nate would be a nice fit w/that roster...& they'd finally be playing a style of basketball all knick fans could enjoy...fast, uptempo, exciting.
