Some kind of package of Q for Camby would be a win win as far as team needs for both teams, although Cmaby is more valuable at this point.

Denver gets their shooter, NY gets their lengthy shotblocker.

Q and Sweets for Camby and a pick sounds fair, and it works.

Not saying I would do it, but just saying its an interesting idea. Obviously Q can't be traded until probably after January and by then we may be doing just fine, but it is an interesting thought no?

Then Camby returns to his 29 game per season form. I'd rather not give up any of our good young players (except maybe Crawford) for him.

Q is our shooter. Also, he's replacing 60% of the boards lost when we traded Kurt. And some of his are even offensice boards!

If he replaces TT at SF, it will be a HUGE improvement from last year. We'd go from having the worst starting SF in the league to an average to above average one. Q will probably score about 5 more PPG and give up about 5 fewer PPG. That alone is a ten PPG swing. (I know you can't really just add the numbers like that, but the point is it's an enormous swing.) He'll also probably give 2 to 3 more rebounds per game than TT.

Good point, Bonn. Last year, most of the games we played TT came up so little, that anything other than him was a plus. This year we have a guy that can definitely play it. Yeah, he is a little undersized for SF, but he has played it and he's been good. He is a big improvement over last year's TT...

Camby's game is based on athleticism and that is only gonna decline with age. He is still a very good player but definitely not the same kind of explosive player and game changer he was when he was on the Knicks, he'd still be a good acquisition at the right price for a couple of years, but I'd be very wary to trade 2 talented young players for him.

I agree with VD and Bonn.

From NBA Draft on Q
Strengths: Strong Character. Super rebounder. Has a knack for crashing the glass. Good defender. Great strength. Very good athlete. Perimeter game is showing improvement. Will be a solid pro at the least.

Wow. I didn't know he was considered a good defender in college.
If he can go back to playing better defense and post up more instead of launching 3s after 3s, he'll be more valuable to this team than Camby long term. Camby can only decline from here, and Denver did ad Hodge who is a decent shooter.

If we're gonna trade someone, I hope we lose Penny/Rose/JYD/Taylor, not Q.

If we can hire a good defensive coach like Larry Brown, players such as Q, Craw, and Marbury could become better defenders... who knows?

Stupid question: What's that two fists to the forehead thing he does after scoring a hoop? What does it mean?

I don't know what it means but... he and Darius Miles used to do it when they were Clippers. Darius does it when he dunks or something.

OK, we trade Camby for Q, but then who are our shooters?

Craw is our shooter/slasher Steph is our take it to the rock guy. Frye is the pick and pop drive and dish guy, Ariza and TT are our spot up shooters. Nate is our tempo changer.

Nate Robinson does that too. Q is gonna love that guy. They'll start a new head hanging club, East Coast style. Darius Miles will smolder with jealousy from afar.

TT sucks. Craw is too uncontrolled and shoots way too low of a % to be called our shooter, and he doesn't slash nearly enough. I'd love Camby, but I'd like to see if we can get him in a different way first.

I'd do Q for Camby in a heartbeat-- if Camby were younger. Young buck ain't so young anymore. He's 31 now. I don't think we should be importing major pieces from here on out that are significantly older than our young core. Even Marbs (28) is a bit of an elder statesman on this team, and he'll be the first of our core group to decline. No one over 28, unless that player puts us over the top and into title contender mode.

Q needs to stay; he's a good shooter and can post up. No more old, injury plagued players please. Isiah is smarter than that, thank GOD.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
Okay I know he hasn't suited up yet, but Q....
