I say b because I don't know much about drafts, but I'm loving Q/Frye and you guys seem high on Nate and the Florida kid looks like a white Nazr...so...you gotta be happy...right?

U need a B+ there man. Its better than a B but not as good as an A. I did vote B.

I think it's an A. They got three players they loved, plus were able to complete a trade that gave them Q Richardson for old, cranky Kurt Thomas and the 54.

He got the players that the Knicks needed - a big guy, a short guy, and a white guy.

B. I'm not completely sold on Frye and Lee yet, though I'll be more than happy if they dispel my doubts. I would have preferred a home run swing, maybe taking a flier on Bynum or Green at 8 at then altering the strategy for 21 and 30 appropriately. Given our cap bind, it would have been a lot easier to gamble on Bynum or Green becoming a superstar than it will be to try to trade for one. (Signing one as a FA is out of the question, obviously.) And make no mistakes, we do need another star or two before we can start to seriously contend... but provisionally, a solid draft.

I gave it a D. The only pick I liked was Lee at 30. Frye's too soft and Robinson is too short.

Right after the draft I would have given it a failing grade because of all that I read and heard. When it was our turn to pick on all three rounds there was someone else there who i liked more and had already made up my mind we should have went for(Green, Granger, Blatche). How dare Isiah not agree with the picks I had (which is none of the three that were chosen)to turn this team around.

Now that I've had a good nights sleep and drained all of the Kool-Aide out of my system I can look at the draft more objectively and give it a B. I think Isiah did a good job changing the style of play to a more exciting and tougher mind set (Frye & tough in the same sentence, I'm trying to believe) with these picks. I'll wait to see what he does leading up to the season to grade up or down on the team overall(get a shot blocking big man +, still have 5 PF's -). For now I'll just go back to soothing my own ego.

IT improved his grade from a 'C' to a 'B' in that he got the pick from Phoenix this year, not in 06 or 07.

Not crazy about pickiing a midget- not when we've got Marb & Craw that have decent handles- I did watch a lot of denver games and Boykins is a game changer- but I thought we'd be better served rolling the dice with those picks on bigs.

Lee might be a nice player, but the next chris anderson- yes will help- isn't getting us over the hump- again, roll the dice on a blatche.

But, hey, maybe IT is turning the tide with lame knick drafts and actually using it to develop talent.

Love the new Knicks.

Hate the old Knicks.

I know it makes sense to keep TT and Penny until we can do something strategic with their contracts but I really can't stand them as players and I honestly want them off the team ASAP. You know how Zeke felt about Shandon? That's how I feel about TT and Penny.

It ain't pretty.

Two Points:

1) I really don't think NY is the best place for guys like this to develope. So, even if they become stars else where there is no guarantee it would have happened here.

2) Even if they do become stars it will take years. There is no reason that we can't have cap room by that time.

Wasn't me, I gave it a C. I don't think they're bad players per se but I just don't know how they fit with this team. Frye is a nice player but I don't think his ceiling is much higher than where he is right now. But they can definitely use him. Nate and Lee, I just don't see where they fit. Nate isn't a pure PG and isn't going to see a lot of minutes behind a PG who plays 40 minutes a game and 2 SG's. Lee is the 5th PF on the team, enough said.

I would have given it a B+ if it was just the draft choices last night, but the poll includes trades and I think getting Q and the pick for Kurt puts it over the top. If things were fair, we really should have been giving up a pick for them to take Kurt in exchange for Q rather than them giving us a pick (and giving Dolan some cash too). That pushes it to at least an A- for me.

Players added:
Quentin Richardson, Nate Robinson, David Lee, Channing Frye

Players subtracted:
Kurt Thomas

That can't be lower than a B- to anyone being fair.

Hold on, you are painting that as a trade. That's not a fair picture. We didn't trade KT for all those players. Look at the
trade, then look at the draft, and what he could have chosen instead
to grade fairly.
