Since the Knicks are now being modeled after west coast teams like Phoenix and Seattle, it makes sense to find a coach who can coach that uptempo kind of game. Watching how hard Seattle played every night and how successful they were, I think McMillan is a perfect fit.
And the reply is...a post that makes sense (still waiting)

Nate Mac was interviewed last night. I missed it. Anything about re-upping in Seattle?

All Nate Mcmillan was saying was that "its Johan Petros night" or "I cant comment on that"

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

It's still up in the air--McMillan is going to meet with team prez in a few days. "We'll see what happens," Nate said.

Nate makes a lot of sense.

If he gets the job, then I think you can safely say Isiah has a plan.

Franco, do you like Nate as our next coach? Is this a step in the right direction according to you or just a coach that fits the roster makeup?

I like him as a coach- think he's done a good job in seattle working with largely wing/back court talent & he would fit the make up of what we have as a team right now- run & gun with some athletes to get up and play D- Nate was that kind of player and has been that kind of coach.

Do you think choosing Robinson who went to college in Seattle has any connection with potentionally bringing in McMillan? I wonder if the two Nates have any close ties. ...Robinson is from Seattle as well.

so is Crawford. Right now I think Nate is a the premier FA coach and can pick the best spot for himself. I dont see NY as being a great spot. Zeke is overbearing, as is the NY media and the team isnt good to boot. Why would Nate want that?

I would love to have him... perfect fit for us right now, but I just dont see it happening

Nate McMillan needs to stay in the small market. He wont be able to take the pressure of the Empire State and would be fired after one season. and you can Quote me on that

Nate McMillan is MR. SEATTLE. No way in the world is he leaving Seattle. I want him too, but he played his whole career there and the comments he made during that interview made it obvious that he's staying. He was talking about working with Petro this summer, then caught himself and laughed. He's staying. As long as they pay him around what Skiles got. And they will.

There are several million more reason$ for Nate to come to NY than to stay in Seattle.

Im sure Isiah will try to do his best job in selling his vision to Nate. He will give it the best try because he fits perfectly the vision he has for the Knicks. McMillan will have to think about it a lot, and who knows if he will be tempted enough to risk it. But if that doesn't happen, Laimbeer should coach. Not because of the style of play( don't exactly know which style he would implement on the Knicks), but because he is the best avaliable...
