yeah, me and my friends just kept looking at each other all night and saying "Charlie Villanueva?!?!" and laughing. It seemed like that pick, then the long anticipated Frye pick happened and then the draft went nuts from about 9 to 19.

Ok, Ok hes from NC, but that is just plain stupid. They could have drafted Granger, Warrick, Green, Wright, Graham.

I think that was the worst pick of the draft. Did they forget they have Emeka Okafor on their squad?

Like they don't need a swingman, or do they think Grant Hill, Cutino and Hedo are the answers there. Really really dumb, and they'll live to regrest it.

for once, someone else will have a shorter frontline than us! okafor at 6'9, may at 6'8, versus frye at 6'11 and sweets at 6'8. beginning of a new era in NY?

Charlotte needs a player that isn't a gotdamn undersized PF, they are set at that position for the next 10 years. They can get leadership from a damn coach. That was a dumb ass pick.

Does Warrick have winning pedigree whatever the hell that is? Hes won it all and played big in big games. He woulda been a better pick than May, though not necassarily a better player.

yo, if you go to realgm's toronto board, they are GOING NUTS!!! they want babc ck's head on a platter - it's hilarious.

they could've come away with frye and granger

but they're left with the starkist tuna...

I just went to Phoenix's: they're pissed about giving up the Nate pick, and several of them mentioned being jealous of us for getting Frye too...

so, yeah, with a little perspective, it's easy to see other teams thought we had a nice draft.

but, man, it would suck to be a Toronto fan right now. Charlie V is a good guy, but to be able to get Frye and Granger...

Babcock wanted to draft Frye but he wouldn't workout for them. As previously mentioned Frye got a promise from NY, which they both honored. Gerald Green and Blatche got to fire their agents especially Blatche, who told him to shut it down for late 1st rounders. Man I should have known how desperate Green was when he was doing workouts for the Knicks this late in the game.

when Toronto picked Charlie V. i started thinking about the Arujauo dude they took last year with their lottery pick

i mean, how do you waste two lottery picks in a row. Babcock must have thought he traded Bosh

The whole draft was stupid in my opinion.....

These NBA teams have no clue who to pick to make their teams better.

Sean May in Charlotte made me mad......Granger falling so low made me mad. Gerald Green falling so low made me mad.

I think that Isiah is the only GM that actually picked players that we need. Even though David Lee was a complete shock. I happen to like David Lee and his energy. I just hope he isn't on the roids.

The whole draft was a WTF moment for me. After the first 5 picks, everything was just crazy! The Raptor's picks, especially Charlie Villanueva, with Green, Frye, Granger all there, was amazing! Last year was Araujo. How can you keep making the same mistake. I had the feeling that they would screw that pick, but not that much...

The rest, like Bynum at 10, Green at 18, Granger at 17, ohh, and did I mention that the Raptors were picking 16, so they passed on Green and Granger two times? Wow! Thank God Im not a Raptors fan...

I see what Rob Babcock is doing. Now he has 2 tall long athletic players on the frontline. Remind you of anybody........the detroit Pistons. They can play CV at small forward or power foward and Bosh at Chris Bosh at Power foward or Center.
