The Lakers have reportedly asked about trading up with Portland at No. 3 for Green. Since Phil Jackson became part of the process, they're trying to trade up with Toronto at No. 7 for Frye.

If nothing else, can people at least admit that Zeke taking Frye in the lotto isn't insane since there are at least four teams in the top ten trying to get Frye?

That's true, it certainly makes me feel better about Frye if he's now sought after by more teams than just the Knicks this high in the draft.

So other teams' stupidity warrants us being stupid too?

What if they all jump of a cliff, should IT follow along, (come to think of it, that would not be such bad thing, especiallyif Dolan joined him ).
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

ummm. ok.
I've been doing some reading and I'm suddenly sold on Bynum should Frye not be there, but zeke has made a good point that from 5 to 22 everyone is pretty much the same.

Damn I wish we could get Frye the camby clone.

Trade with the Lakers, they take Brynum, we take Frye, and swap and get the 1st pick in the second....

Come away with Brynum, Blacthe, Nate Robinson

I'm warming to a Frye pick because I think he's going to be here and I try to love and embrace any player we get, even if they suck. I think the best comparison was Lorenzo Wright. Good production, but doesnt really change games. Frye is NOTHING like Camby. Camby was nasty and tough. Yea, he got hurt alot, but it was usually because he threw his body around to the point of being reckless, skying for rebounding and dunking on guys while running full steam. Thats not Frye. Marcus was an above the rim player. Frye is probably more skilled, but doesnt have a sniff of the cajones Camby's got.

So Isiah likes Frye, fans hate Frye. Phil likes Frye, fans love Frye.

Hey, I wouldn't want to sniff Camby's cajones either.

Frye is not a bad player, but he is what he is, a tweener who doesnt rebound with a weak base and plays soft. there are a lot of smokescreens, but if Channing was so good, BELIEVE me he would not be picked 8! But Im not saying he is bad, Im saying he is a taller version of Kurt thomas who can dunk. he is perimeter based, he does not play tough, and i base my opinion on watching him play and his own stats, where a 6-10 240 guy can pick up 5 rebounds or less in 13 games in his senior year in high tempo. he can shoot, he has post up skills, he ha nice fundamentals, i dont hate channing frye, but he is no C and he will haev a LOAD of trouble guarding people.

That's fair, Briggs. Personally I see the same thing when I look at Marvin Williams. To be honest Tim Thomas was more of a complete player coming out of Villanova. Bogut and Granger are probably the best defenders going early at their perspective positions. That's why I wouldn't mind taking Frye if we can get a guy like Taft at 30. Or if we take Bynum we can get a guy like Blatche at 30. I think Frye is a decent weak side blocker.

The Knicks should totally draft Paul Pierce. You're right, Isiah IS an idiot.

I'd draft Kobe first out of that list!
