Knicks seem to be done for tonight. Isiah went with experience in this draft. no rebuilding for us.

Adding four (counting Q) talented guys tonight under 25 counts as rebuilding to me. It's not like he traded away pics. He actually acquired them. Rebuilding to me doesn't mean you draft the youngest player available.

I love the additions of Q, Frye, Nate, and Lee. Bynum over Frye would have made it perfect, but it's still a great night IMO.

There are enough spots...

1. Trevor Ariza
2. Jackie Butler
3. Jamal Crawford
4. Anfernee Hardaway
- Allan Houston (cap cut)
- Jermaine Jackson (cut)
5. Stephon Marbury
6. Malik Rose
- Bruno Sundov (cut)
7. Mike Sweetney
8. Maurice Taylor
9. Tim Thomas
- Kurt Thomas (traded)
10. Jerome Williams

+ 4 makes 14. One spot left

I need reactions, good ones. Im in shock! Not what I expected by all means. Not that that is bad. Not that it is good, either.

You did it, Briggs! Now you have me feeling bad that we didn't take Bynum over Frye. Frye looks to be a good pick, but man, all those post made me fall a little bit in love with the idea of having Bynum. Who knows what will happen. One thing that strikes me is that, LA had a chance to take Green or Granger, and they took Bynum. Feel empty...

So we got pick #21? We took Nate Robinson with it. A Briggs guy. A point guard. So we have Crawford being Marbury's backup and now Nate? We start Marb, Craw and Q? Nate has recieved good reviews here, at least. But he is a PG...

With the #30, we don't pick Blatche nor Taft, we get Lee. Looks like he has a fan base here now, and many like the pick. I don't know a lot about him, but judging by what I have read, its a good pick. Still, is a PF...

How do I feel? Shocked? Isiah's grade? Incomplete, since I still have no idea what he is building. Frye better keep adding muscles and strenght. He will need it because he will start at C for us. From day one, at least that's the outlook right now. Nate and David? Need to know you better. Bynum? Briggs, why did you have to be soo repetitive! Green? Didn't Isiah supposedly loved him? Slips at 18? Tese drafts can cause headaches!

i was thinking minutes-wise. there are now a lot of players at similar positions. who gets squeezed out, who gets minutes.

Those for Q, Frye, Nate and David.

So this isn't Isiah's last move, since we definitely need to add another C through the Free Agency. Maybe many of these picks will go to the NBDL...

Isiah must trade either Taylor, JYD or Rose, because we still have too many PF's!

I think overall it was an absolute disaster of a draft.

The only way to get height and a legit center is through the draft. Isiah showed that he has no balls and he is scared to lose his job. Every pick was a "safe" pick.

We are going nowhere with frye and lee, can anyone honestly say that either of these guys will be an important piece to a championship one day? come on... im so fed up with this nonsense

A++++ !!!!

Awesome draft.

C - a safe pick, but a solid one.
PF - Lee...a ferocious rebounder. An athlete. A mature kid. I was afraid we'd pick Taft, who is an absolute piece of sh!t.
SF - Thompson. Nice reviews of this kid. Shooter, hard worker. Solid 2nd round pick.
SG - Q Rich. Very nice. This trade also kicks Crawford & Tim Thomas in the ass.
PG - Robinson. Game changer. Instant O, instant D. Best athlete in the draft. Competitive.

Love it.

you know what is nonsense? pretending like you know how to pick basketball players better than Isiah Thomas and Brendan Suhr who drafted Tmac, Camby, Ariza, Rodman, Ben Wallace. Give it some time before you rule out these players.

Just got back from the MSG draft party... Folks there felt pretty good about the picks tonight. The whole event was fun, from meeting John Starks, hearing Frye welcome the Knicks fan (a decent "happy to be here" speech!) to taking pics with the Knicks City Dancers.

Wood met Taft's uncle (he went to the wrong entrace LOL) and told him after 16 or 17 was picked that Taft was going late in the 1st round... We left @ the end of the first round, but from what I heard on ESPN Radio on the way home from MSG or read so far here, he has YET to be drafted even in the second round! Damn, were his workouts THAT bad?

I met Gus Johnson too- and he was alot cooler than I thought he'd be in person.

I know I came nowhere close to winning the mock the way this thing went. Hey, at least I picked Frye as the Knicks' pick.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Robinson is a spark plug, he's tough as hell, he's insanely quick end to end. He'll drive and dish.. he'll press the ball. This is a pure character pick. Isiah is trying to give this team some heart ala Malik Rose. Granted there were some good options at that point. Your gonna love rooting for this guy, I live in Seattle and this guy is electric, competitive. Lee and Robinson are athletic character guys.. I like it.

I would have loved to take Granger at #8, but I don't see how we're ever going to get big guy with our roster and cap shape for years. You can't trade Big for Small in this league.. so there Frye.

I think Isiah did a overall good job. The Frye pick was a given. The robinson pick is outstanding....this guy is everyhting the Knicks need...a super athelete and solid D. I was real down on Lee when they got him because I din't know much, but after reading on him he's got size, and atheletism that is really solid.
A for me.
Cursed no more!!! Knicks are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have taken Green or Bynum instead of Frye.

I think the Celtics had a great draft.

I was happy with the draft after reading more about Nate and Lee. I give it an A.

Need to trade either Sweetney or MoT. I don't care who.

I love the draft.

Nate wasa SUCH a ballsy pick!

What an incredible trade it turned out to be,

I think the odds are great that Lee will blow Blatche or Taft or Turiaf or whomever was there at 30 away.

Frye - well, y'all know how I feel on that one.

There's more to come folks, plus we still don't know what Butler has or what Reezy and Sweets will pick up over the summer (careful, guys)

What you think about Lee, because Ainge said he had Lee as the BPA after Green. Interesting. Raptors past on Green twice. Twice. So who knows. I remember John Wallace falling to 18.
