From Newsday, interesting if true.

Bynum was headed for Connecticut, but his potential has him rising toward lottery status. Isiah Thomas is said by Knicks insiders to be thinking "long-term," and Bynum is worth the wait. The Knicks never announced a Bynum workout, but there are indications they worked him out secretly.

That's good news if true. If Isiah liked Bynum, he'll obviously draft him.

If he is still available - and I have a feeling Frye wont be on the board when the Knicks pick

That's ok because the one everyone really wants and the one discussed here is Bynum.

So all of a sudden all the Isiah-Frye hype is going away and while the draft approaches things turns Bynum's way>? This is pretty suspicious...

Very strange that now Isiah has even secretly worked him out. How did it leaked out and why just a day from the draft? This is all veeery suspicious... But I do agree that if Isiah has done all this is because maybe the guy he wanted all the time was Bynum. Hmm....

There is really no telling who Isiah wants...For what it's worth, he has never said that he promised any pick to anyone. The media has been trying to speak on behalf of the Knicks, but as we all know, they do fabricate stories, especially in N.Y.

...can anyone say "Smokesreen"?

Those "secrets" becoming exposed when they did (about these 'secret' workouts with Frye and now Bynum) was very peculiar timing-wise. Isiah Thomas is utilizing strategy. It is a smart move to throw off the media by keeping the guessing going, and it distracts the competition from zeroing in on who Isiah really wants.

The #8 is really sounding like Frye or Bynum, but who knows?
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Can you imagine Frye and Green being taken ahead of us, and we are all in baited excitement waiting for Bynum to be announced and The Knicks select...Fran Vazquez...

Blatche baby...Blatche...that is who Isiah really like. He is long, athletic, rebounds, and can handle the rock on the open floor. Blatche is the man...if you saw the Jordan classic, you know that I am telling the truth..After all, Bynum was there also...That kid Blatche outplayed the opposition...I like his game

Blatche is someone I would hope we could take at #30 but not at #8.

You can't afford to allow teams with sooner picks than 30 to steal all of the good big players....You can't afford it my friend, trust me, if Frye and Bynum are not on the board at 8 Isiah will go that route....Blatche because he watched this kid play at the Garden, or Taft or Simien...I don't know if Isiah likes Taft too much, but I am sure is this cat is as talented as we think Isiah will not let him walk...

happens all the time. Smart GM's don't reveal their hands until the last minute. I get the feeling everybody who was killing those who wanted Bynum because he wasn't projected to go in the lottery ALL want Bynum now just because mock drafts has us taking him.

Thats why I kept saying Isiah will not draft a low ceiling player like Frye, don't be surprised if its just a smokescreen and Bynum is really his guy! I hope i was right!

That's what I've been saying, but now I have a feeling that Bynum and possibly even Frye will be gone by 8, in which case, we either select Gerald Green or Danny Granger.

I personally don't think Frye is getting passed Toronto. Frye is a legit center and they desperately want to get Bosh at the 4.

If Frye is gone Bynum is going to be a Knick......unless Isiah makes another trade.
