On the surface Jalen Brunson gets mauled. He looked beaten up.
Knicks looked to be getting fouled out on the three pt line finishing.
KAT not getting calls going to the basket. To his credit he did seem less whiney Monday night.
OG getting run over by Cade under the basket was an awful look.
Cade is getting star treatment but often he is fouled.

My point is Foul or not KAT does commit to the drive and often off balance when he finishes. Is he being fouled as much as we think? As he thinks?
Jalen jerky motions does initiate contact often, but many many times not.

Are they creating the contact often to the point they are losing the benefit of the doubt?

That ref crew was terrible. If the league wants the physicality then they should change the rules to accommodate it otherwise it's just the refs deciding what they want to call or not call for an entire game. The Knicks having zero free throws in the first half until under 20 seconds left in the 2nd Q is bull****. The only reason that one kid on Detroit kept getting called and fouled out is because his dramatics were showing up the refs.

"NBA basketball, hand-checking refers to a defensive tactic where a player uses their hands or arms to restrict the movement of an offensive player with the ball. The NBA explicitly banned hand-checking before the start of the 2004-2005 season, aiming to increase scoring and pace of the game."

Knicks foul hunt and complain way too much. Honestly I think the hate on them for this is warranted.

Last game having 0 FT's in the first half was egregiously bad officiating. Both things can be true.

Refs missed some calls at the end of the game but also gave us a ton of calls in the 4th quarter to make up for a bad first half of officiating.

Knicks have gotten outplayed - refs aren't the difference.

just look at the shooting. It's that simple. OG/KAT/Mikal are 7-30 from 3 in two games.

I don't know how as a team Shamet has not had a 3point shot, Josh has only taken 3, and a historic level shooting center is 1-5.

All over 2 games.

Our lack of 3pt volume has been a theme for awhile and probably the best case the Fire Thibs brigade has is our inability to get these shots off consistently.
