![]() Caught some Women march madness few years back when Stanford made some runs with Brink and the Hull twins. Brink was a hell of a college player even as a freshman. Can't say I'd remember much until the next spring and there those long legged girls were back playing again.
I find the women game "Interesting" in a throw back kind of way. They lack the athletic nature. of the mens game but passing and shooting matter more so its fun to watch. I did watch the liberty run last year and happy they finally got a chip. As for Clark, she is incredible and seems to handle herself fantastic on and off the court. Its a shame that so much ugly has boiled over from her ascent. Perhaps media has fed a sort of "Bird-Magic" theme to both their rise thru college and into the pro but Angel has yet to blossom on the court to be a true rivalry. |

![]() With the additions the Fever have made I think their game style is going to kind of Sun's D'Antoni 7 seconds or less.
Player I most compare Caitlin to is Steven Nash. I've heard Curry (because of her shot) but I think at the WNBA what really makes her great is how she constantly pushes pace, makes great look-ahead passes and her ability to manipulate the pick and roll. She has ladies around her now that can run but also who can spread the floor and a great young post big in A Boston. I'm guessing this team is going to break offensive records this year and the roster is now filled with scrappy/tough players. |

![]() Huge game vs the Liberty today. The Liberty are the best team in the league and the Fever are still working through our early season chemistry problems. The Libs should win but you never know.

![]() Crazy the backlash against Angel Reese via social media.
They are making fun of her game and displaying she is more into her image than anything. At some point is she ruining her appeal and earning capacity off the court? Sponsers have to be looking at this. If she can't perform on the court that more than anything will hurt her earnings off the court. The way she went after CC was an irrational response to a basketball play a bad look. Other teams seem to be trying to slam Clark physically also and this girl just gets up, smiles, and keeps coming back. Double or triple her she has the IQ to see it coming and move the ball more times than not. Not sure this team has the chops to win a chip but they need only get it together by the end of the season. Indy basketball is a good place to be these days. |

![]() That was an amzing game. The Liberty is a super team but the Fever was right there with them. 3 bad calls in the final minute all in favor of the Libs won them the game.

![]() Wrong for US Sen. Jim Banks from Indiana to state Angel Reese owes Indiana Fans an apology.
Just because they could not substantiate it does not mean it did not happen. Sen Banks comment is a dog whistle to invite racism were he need not flame that into existence any more than it is. If WNBA does not look into it its a bad look. They did. Found nothing to substantiate. Its a bad look either way. Im no Angel fan. He game need to do the talking. Her College stardom has yet to translate to to the next level. Clark has defied her early trajectory proving many wrong. Gino Aureietta on record saying she would not initially be a star in the WNBA. His I don't see was fueled by hate but his opinion. Perhaps his opinion was given when he answered questions about her by media. Thats not hate, it was just not accurate. |

![]() Tweet was deleted or there was problem with the URL: Bro, all the players we signed are trash man. I will never listen to WNBA people again. Those idiots convinced me we had a super team. We are a close to a contender team with Caitlin and bottom of the league team with her now injured. |

![]() ![]() While there is no doubt racist under tones to the whole Angel/Clark thing and how it exists in the WNBA. At the end of the day when all the racist remarks are out there there boils a simple fact that this is a sports issue and what happens on the court does matter. Angel is simply not living up to the hype that she rode in on. Perhaps her hype was self crated given her "success" with online media. These two girls are both under intense microscopes given their individual circumstances. Angel has yet to live up to her hype while Clark exceeded most baseline expectations for a rookie. In a nationally covered game Reese had 4 pts, 12 rebounds, 5 of which were Both have created more exposure to the league feeding a public that likes this sort of thing. Slowly they are also exposing these wonderful athletes and the game that likely won't be a major sports any time soon but gains more fans as the games do matter! I recall 20 years ago Anna Kornakova drew a lot of jealous ire from the tennis world as she had yet to win a tournament but was heralded for her incredible looks on and off the court. Contrast that to what Serena Williams faced regarding acceptance was that generations greatest player and its easy to see the ugly side of fans at times. She powered thru it because at the end of the day she was an incredible champion on the court. She was accountable. Kornakova came and left little impression as a tennis player. Serena is the GOAT. Angel needs to play better if she wants to be respected as an athlete. All the while we sort thru the many layers of prejudice/racism and perhaps some aspects of "reverse" components that have been presented. Its not always pretty but we learn more about ourselves and society thru it. |

![]() For the people who might not be keeping up I will give a quick rundown.
Fever with Caitlin took the best team in the league to the final play and got cheated by the refs. Caitlin strained her quad and the team became a bottom of the league level squad. We suffered a few more injuries so was able to sign a hardship player. That player fit our team perfectly so now even though we are injured we are playing way better. Once we get players back we have to waive the hardship player. If we want to keep Aari we would have to cut a useless vet. The problem is the WNBA still in the phase were you keep past prime and useless vets as respect. So we might let a player go that fits our team perfectly because of politics. If this happens I have to seriously think about if I want to be a fan on this team. I want to win and I don't care about that other stuff and the WNBA is filled to the brim with other stuff. |

![]() Tweet was deleted or there was problem with the URL: The front office totally messed up building around her. We went from an exciting young team to old and slow. She wanted vets that could teach her how to win but they got to at least fit her style of play. They went and got 2 of the oldest and slowest players in the league and another old player that can't play D or shoot. The WNBA teams are still stuck in the 90s. It's not hard to build around her. She needs 3%D players that can run the fast break. |
