He’s going to keep them in this series by himself it seems.

you need a jar of vaseline and a Brunson poster

If we land him, that’s a great idea!

If Leon gets Brunson somehow, are you leaving next season?

Brunson is a good player. He's got value. He's also short, not explosive and usually struggles vs. longer more athletic guards. He's a classic buy-HIGH move that ends in fans screaming that the coach plays Brunson TOO MUCH when he should be playing IQ or McBride or whoever the rookie savior is.

Mostly I am tired of hearing Brunson who is a buy-HIGH player who will require cap space we dont have. He will be a defensive disaster with Fournier and our only path to acquiring him is to offer Dallas big assets in the sign and trade.

You think Randle is unpopular? Wait till you see Brunson for $20mm a year after we used picks and players to get him. Its not gonna go well

Knick fans gonna cry about something one way or the other. Not sure why the preset of hating on the idea then hating on it in perpetuity even when things go well.
We over value some and undervalue others.

Right now the Obi and IQ show even has us forgetting Grimes!
Prepare How many of Burks, OBI, IQ, Drose, Cam, Deuce won't be here next year or out of the rotation?

Once Evan figured it out, or knicks figured him out, after Jan 1st he had most 3pters in league I think I read.
How many games did Randle hush the crowd, not pick up a player who he might not have seen, or told a media guy to STFU? His last game vs. Bulls he looked unhappy, yet he might have been so becuae he reinjured his leg. it was his last game.
DId he say he was "Done" because he wanted out, or he was hurt and knew he was done for the season?
How we hate him gives us answers.

Brunsson is slow, short, ugly, and will be paid. He hung 41pts in a playoff game that was important. He did that while being Slow, Short, Ugly and underpaid.
Kyle Lowrey was Slow, SHort, ugly in a paul pierce related kind of way. Maybe he gets some comparison? Van Vleet is also not tall, is not super quick, and not on the cover of GQ.

1 is Brunson. Uber efficient PG that is young enough to grow with the young guys. We don’t need to elaborate on this one because it’s been discussed plenty lately

2 is manipulate draft process to get Shaedon Sharpe. I don’t know much about him but his profile screams star potential. He’s a Kentucky recruit who might be repped by CAA for all we know, but could easily go dark and avoid working out for other teams to steer his way to the Knicks. Can move up using a future protected pick or the Dallas 2023 pick. This draft can yield us another player in the Quickley, Grimes, Toppin, Reddish range or we can take a stab at a real future star who can grow alongside Barrett. Coming out of the summer with a good PG and a developmental prospect who has real difference maker upside can turn the tides on the franchise in ways that this front office needs to accomplish.

you are worse than Briggs... at least he says the names of his crush in the title

Brunson... undersized guard with defensive liabilities who doesnt help you attack the basket. Works with the space created by one of the NBA's best players. There is no path at acquire beyond throwing draft assets or another player in a sigh and trade

Wecome to the offseason where Knixkik is going to start a new "this is a good direction" thread with #1 saying "get Brunson" despite no logical path to get him. Dallas would be willing... they play as well without him as they do with him.

Maybe Burks/Simms and a FRP for a sign and trade with Brunson. Yeah... that sounds very Isiah like. We can look forward to 3-4 years of Brunson for $20mm per and talk about how steady he is

Bumping this for fun

I had a problem creating almost too many threads that started with getting Brunson. I’m glad we figured out a way to do it. 4 more wins for Brunson to be a Knick GOAT. Let’s get the job done.
