Insurance companies have already said you will not be fully covered for covid treatment if you were not vaccinated. Doctors walked out in South Florida this morning to show they are being overworked by those that are not vaccinated. It's time the ignorant stop getting a free pass yet those following science get penalized due to there irresponsible behavior. We all know that if Trump was still president he would be forcing states to do his will. Like Desantis is doing with school boards in Florida. Many Dems think that it would hurt Biden to do so but think many are tired of these idiots forcing hands and Dems being the good guys for fear of how an aggressive move will be perceived. Think it's time to give Texas and Florida a taste of their own governmental pressure.

But you are right. This will be something that we all deal with from now on. Already getting ready for my booster shot.

What societies don’t put a priority of children before themselves? I can understand questioning vaxing children. We defeated measles, polio, small pox. This is how you do it folks. How do we protect the kids?
We don’t have to vax every child if we protect them. But we are not are we?

Partner teaches in Queens...she is still not sure how everything is going to work out there.

She was a non-political anti-vaxxer, but I, and others, convinced her to get her shots. I suppose I was the test subject she got to observe.

Because she got them so late, she will be at peak potency when she goes back in September.

I expect full FDA approval for Pfizer, which might happen tomorrow, will be a game changer for teachers when it finally comes through.

I'm still worried about her picking up the virus at school & then bringing it back home, though. I'm old enough to be able to get a booster sometime early next year, & will probably do it.

Glad she “evolved” like many of us to take the Vax. I sure did not want to be first in line but as things got worse and my Doctor friends told me they were in on the early trials THEMSELVES I got in on it.

Looks like she wasn't going to have a choice, anyway. She just finished her term as UFT rep, and has told me there are a number of anti-vaxxers among the school staff. Will be interesting to see what the folks in that category who aren't old enough to retire, do. I'm expecting some fireworks.

I know this well. During the height of the pandemic in NY I called every funeral home and crematory in NYC everyday and every single one was filled to capacity. It took me about 12 days of calling every one to finally get one to help me. You don't need numbers given by the government to tell how good or bad they are handling this pandemic. Especially since they can be manipulated. Just call a few funeral homes and you will easily get your answer.
